As far as Joey goes, Let's just admit we don't realy know why he was sent down. Reports were that they talked to him about making some changes and he didn't. Anyone else remember that? It could be on ice things they've asked him to change or maybe it's an off ice/attitude issue. Point is we don't know.

So, do we trust the people making these decisions? I have to think it is JD and Jarmo at this point. I can't imagine they are letting the coaching staff make these personnel decisions in a vacuum.

If you trust JD and Jarmo, don't you trust what they do with Joey? I do, especially about things they have expertise in which I don't.

If I had to guess... I'm guessing attitude. Either way, I believe in JD's handling of this.

I completely agree with everything above. Lets not worry about the what and why they are doing this to Joey. JD and Jarmo are running the show now. We have to trust that they are not going to let the coach ruin any players.

Richards does not like Johansen apparently. Great.
If Jarmo wants to see him play, this certainly helps the case of a new coach in the future. Richards is either with the program or not.
Johansen deserves to be here as much as Drazenovic or Collins. Let him play.

Do you people realize that RyJo played two days in a row on both Friday and Saturday and had to travel today?

This team can't put points on the board, yet you'll put in Drazenovic before Johansen? Alright then, if you say so coach Richards.
Do you also realize that Drazenovic outscored RyJo in the AHL?

I don't like them calling up Johansen. Why did they send him down if they were just going to call him back up? I thought the reason for sending down one of our best forwards was so he could develop his offensive game? They should have left him in the AHL a lot longer if that was the reason. I would like to know their reason for sending him down if that wasn't the reason.

I don't like that Johansen likely won't be on the ice tonight, but its okay being called up and being sent down. Players can figure out what their game needs at the NHL level, and work on it at the AHL level. They can learn a lot going back and forth.

My point is they shouldn't keep bringing him up and sending him down. He was just up here. He should know what he needs to work on. IMO, it would be better for him if they would just leave him in one place for a while.

I didn't realize that so thanks for pointing it out. But it still doen't mean this call up is something that is going to be a temporary thing. I'll wait and see what happens.

I think they read the board and then made decision. So RyJo will play 3rd night in a row. At least no one will complain about lack of playing time.
The Falcons also played 3rd night in a row. They lost 1:5.

Who is this "Ryjo"?

Joey is paying like a boy tired of riding AHL buses. I hope whatever message they are trying to send him has sunk in. And... He looks huge.

Led the team (tied) in shots with 4- one good one that had a real chance. Saw him make a couple of good defensive plays. I'm with RD-he either needs to play a lot up here or a lot in Springfield. No more yo-yo.
