clearly a short term solution with all the issues going on but I guess has potential to be this years Nylander for them. Doubt he's going to get any sort of prime offensive minutes unless more injuries build up

Labanc is probably worth a lot more than 775K.

I don't know why he can't get a job prior to this PTO, but he oozes offense. Don't know what the knock on him is, but he can play (not a 4th liner)

Probably a good middle 6 player on a middle team.

His PTO with us was great.

the knock on him is that he's a PP specialist who isn't good enough for the PP. should be an AHL or europe star instead but the jackets just lost their 2 best PPers for nothing so I guess while they tank for a couple years and are the worst team in the league they have room for him.

I enjoy seeing how guys perform on their second NHL team after a long stint (where they had flashes) on their first team.

Johnson, if healthy, is the better player. Goal scoring by Labanc in the Devils' B games was a nice distraction but particularly in the last game against the Flyers the deficiencies in his game were also apparent.

Change of scenery couldn't hurt and low risk move for the Jackets.
