I think I realized that after game 2 of Sillinger missing every KJ pass. Cole has negative finishing and is fine with grinders, no one else though. No PP or anything too offensive unless everyone is injured.

Idr if it was Shelley or Mearsy that said it but, essentially the reason they work well together with JVR is that all 3 of them are extremely intelligent hockey players. You don't need to be the biggest/strongest/fastest if you can think multiple steps ahead and have a few guys around you who can do the same.

Well to be honest, if you'd ask me before the season... I would take this level of goaltending no questions asked. Maybe we've lost a couple of games because of poor goaltending but we've also won a couple because of great goaltending, and many games fall somewhere in-between. I'll take it.

Andersen makes a great save after a Carolina D inadvertly gets the puck towards their own net from a Werenski pass, and then Andersen saves Werenski's attempt. Important saves for the Canes, was super close to a third goal for us.

LDBB is the real deal, obviously very raw and needs to keep progressing but he makes so many great little plays, similar to Voronkov down low, this is a player who is going to put up points in the NHL.

The kid is already better than I ever expected him being. Dude put in work offseason and it's paying off in a major way. No idea what his upside is anymore but he's earning everything he gets right now and you love to see it

Yes, I was going to say that it wouldn't be hard to pass the threshold of "better linemate for KJ than Cole Sillinger".
