Coleslaw add Kukan.

Gavrikov is close though, maybe ahead of Bittner and Abramov. I bump him a few spots every time I make a list, and then I go back and look at his position and it's still too low. You'd think a guy who is already a top pair [strikethrough on top pair] shutdown D for Yaroslavl at age 20 would be a top 12 prospect?

Edit: not top pair.

It is all about upside. I think he is who he is. What he is, is good, but I don't see him ever being more than a 3/4 defender at best. Plus, who knows if he ever even comes over to play for Columbus.

If he can learn to do this more often, I'll take it.

It's hard to judge a guy who only has one recent video and it has him looking like god incarnate.

I think we're at a point on our list where adding a guy with second pair upside is right on. Second pair D to me is more valuable than the upside I see from Abramov (25G one way wing) and Bittner (15G middle six all-around tough).

Seriously, we're wondering if it's too early to add a guy to the poll who only has second pair upside, and Gabriel Carlsson could be the winner of the current poll. What do you think his upside is?

I think his upside is what RD suggests is Gavrikov's upside, minus the "will he ever come to NA" part.

I honestly don't get how Carlsson can be leading here when we have so many whose main criteria for ranking prospects is "highest ceiling/potential". Then I see he's leading because some of those posters voted for him.

Add Vainio.

Six for six so far, and it looks like we're about to go seven for seven.

As my #8 guy is not yet on the list of options, though, and doesn't look like he's about to be added, that's probably where the nice matchup between my list and the consensus list is going to end. :)

Carlsson, add Zaar.

Yes, I have Zaar at #8. He really impressed me.

I like Kolesar in the position for reasons that have been pointed out like the D guys have 2nd pair ceilings for the most part. I like that Kolesar was late putting full dedication into hockey so I feel like he has more room to grow and how many 18/19 year olds have to worry about losing weight and becoming more tone to incrase their skating ability because hes naturally got a massive build . he would probably be 230-240 if he wanted to be so good on him for taking the best action to help him on the ice

Add Zaar

With two players outside my top 15 already in the poll, I abandon my list and decide to play swing vote.

Add Kukan.

As of me:

Kukan x4
Zaar x3
Vainio x2
Gavrikov x2
Sedlak x1
Heatherington x1
Hannikainen x1
