I'm a bit hesitant about him. He's only 20 so the light could go on at some point but he doesn't seem to have made the progress a 1st round pick should have, imo. Especially if one is counting him as a top prospect. That being said I did vote for him because he has the skills to be a big time scorer imo

yeah, IMO he belongs among our top prospects until he shows he shouldn't...the skills are there...you're right, it's the putting it together...

I don't get the concern over Milano tbh. He had a really good season as a 19 year old rookie. We all knew from day one that he has the skill but needed to get stronger and develop his play without the puck. That takes some time, and while he isn't there just yet, I see no cause for concern. I think he's on the right path to become a middle 6 forward at the NHL level. Maybe he doesn't develp into some 1st line, Patty Kane jr. type, but I think that's more on the fans for hyping him up a little too much.

The answer is "It's up to you to make your own definition."

Within bounds. I know you love the open democracy of it, but if your personal definition is "whoever helps the team next year" you are ****ing it up.

There is a good range of opinion over how to discount the future, and whether it matters what a guy is doing at age 30 (when he might be on a different team), and how to gauge guys like Gavrikov who might not come over, etc... But there are central definitions of what a prospect's value is and its about career value or value to his team over the long run.

I really can't decide here. I might prefer Anderson but in all seriousness, Milano just turned 20 and has much better upside. There are some things about his game that annoy me (how can someone with that build be so easily outmuscled? Did he not have brothers?).

American Zherdev.

I think there is a bit of truth to that. Both play the game like it's just hot dog shinny.

A couple differences - Zherdev was a topline scorer in the NHL when he was 20, and Milano seems to have a good head on his shoulders. If Zherdev was a responsible person he would have been a great player in the league.

Hon, literally every single other poster here ridiculed the guy who made that comparison and pointed it out as a clear demonstration of how that poster and that poster alone was completely insane. Tarring everyone here with that brush is both intellectually dishonest and insulting.

Where is the old comradery? One for all and all for one. Code d'honneur. Or are we all just cursed to be street dogs?

For example the Wennberg trials of fire take place inside the head of head coach and also in the average poster. Just because the claim has evolved from lack of bruising to lack of shooting does not change the primitive culture of evaluation or ranking established.

Yes, yes, we get it, we're all ignorant primitive heathen savages because we don't accept the peerless wisdom of the Most High Living One. Evidently if we were truly Enlightened Folk we'd presumably all be in perfect agreement with you, or something. :shakehead

Without victory there can be no culture.

The geezers must unite together to form a bond of cultured presence in the dressing room. Their honor and the fate of their names depend now on this great and monumental task placed before them by the senior commanders. To battle.
