first thought...good hockey trade...we'll see if we can get Saad signed to a friendly deal...if so...we'll be pleased
CHI obviously made it clear they wanted Dano. Or we didn't want to trade him. Either way, this is the way the deal was made. We are a better team.
@Aportzline: So after that massive deal w #Blackhawks ... talks back on between #CBJ and center Mark Letestu toward a multi-year deal.

Interesting move. The loss of Dano is big, but we dumped a lot of forward contracts. No bridge deal needed for Saad, sign him long term.

Looking at the other players involved, Paliotta looks like he might challenge for a roster spot this coming season. Just signed, apparently.
We're really needed this type of move on D, but you cant really pass it up. My only concern is im sure he wanted to stay, so we better be ready to pay up. Get a top 4 dman and i'll take everything i said bad about JK back
My guess is, HOPEFULLY, they have let us talk to him and/or his agent. My guess is we get him signed quickly.

While we all have a man crush on Dano, lets remember that we havent even seen what Rychel can bring to the table. Maybe Jarmo felt this was opportunity to seel high on Dano. Jackets are now serious becoming serious contenders, and our prospect pool is stacked. I would love to see Jack Johnson moved for an upgrade for a shutdown defender.

i like that...but as pointed out, there's a chance for Bjork...and Cam isn't guarenteed to be here come September...
This is such a crazy trade. I am still trying to decide how good it is. A? A+? A++++? We are big, talented, young, and deep. I know people want a D, but I am really happy with this team right now. Get a defenseman during the year if we still need one. I want to see how this team plays before giving up a lot to get a defenseman.
