CBC gets first pick right?

Typical Bob Cole PBP

Out come the canadiens back the other back the other way... its dumped into the corner, the canadiens get it back... out front of the net....RYDDERRR.

He'll never forget the newfie names. I dont care, still love bob cole
Huge fan of Bob Cole. He's called a ton of playoffs for us over the years and is my favourite announcer.
Not nearly as bad as CBC. Very disappointed, not going to bother tuning into Stock's pre/post-game libel on Subban.
CBC really needs to get rid of Stock. They've lost a lot of credibility by having him on their panel. He's universally despised - and that includes his co-hosts.
Chris Cuthbert is tsn's number 1 play by play guy for NHL and cfl. Not sure who his sidekick is for hockey.
Cuthbert is great too. Always liked him and he's much better than Hughson is.

Eller in the corner......he passes to.............galchenyuk....he's the young guy on montreal....back to the point...SHOT...REBOUND, GALLAGHER SCORES! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BABY!

OH BABY FOR SURE!

Everything is happening!

TSN rules them all, but I downgraded my cable to basic services (still HD though)
When they say "basic", they mean it, its really ****
But Im saving 70 $ a month, no need to pay that much if Im gonna watch 3 channels only

So if TSN gets the 1st round, it will be a good excuse to watch the games in a bar (and go home with a hot babe after the game) :naughty:

Edit : just read page 3 .... CBC it is lol

" Moen ..... scores !!! ..... what is going on in Pennsylvania ? "
lol Fleury :)

If you wind up watching the games at a bar you're going to drink through the 70 dollar savings real quick.

Watch it be Dean Brown:rant: Maybe CBC will hire Denis Potvin for this round to do colour. Not likely but if it's Brown and Greg Millen:help:

Kinda shocked the CBC didn't pick Vancouver, and chose Sens-Hans instead. Either they felt that they couldn't ignore an all-Canadian series, or their love of Karlsson is that strong or they learned their lesson when they didn't pick the Habs during the 2010 run. The Caps-Habs series got huge ratings for TSN and was by far the most exciting series of the Eastern first rd.

I'm really going to hate the Karlsson love-in. On camera all the time. Every little dump in being a thing of beauty and a smart play.

Would've preferred TSN. CBC just trolled Habs fans.

Then they should have picked Sens/Habs and the Vancouver series to better represent the different time zones and geographies across the country. The fact they chose the Toronto series prove how Toronto-centric the CBC is.

Why should the CBC get the first two choices, anyway? It is not fair to TSN. These games should be left up to the highest bidder.

CBC would rather have a game every night, than two games every second night.

I think it boils down to the fact that 90% of working people in Eastern Canada aren't going to stay up until 1 or 2 in the morning to watch the Canucks and Sharks whereas people all over the country can watch a 7 eastern start. Sure people in BC may miss the first period or so as they get home from work but that's better than easterners that go to bed at 10 after the first game and don't watch any of the late game. The only people in the East that will stay up to watch the late games are those that are students or don't have jobs and they can't afford to buy the sponsors' products anyways.

Meh, would have preferred TSN (surprised they passed on Vancouver), but as long as we have Bob Cole, I'll take it.

Ohhhh baby!

Nope, dates are decided based on Arena availability. So blame Marie-Mai, she's performing at Bell Centre Saturday night.

Nope, for the 10th time, Marie-Mai was originally scheduled Friday-Saturday-Sunday, so either way one of those concerts was being postponed.

We're not playing Saturday night because CBC wants Toronto-Boston on and nothing else.

What I like about getting Cole is that I get to experience two games at the same time. The one I see on the video and the one Cole announces on the audio.

They're never quite the same which leads me to wonder if Cole is not a closet toker. Oh baby

I believe you can pick extra channels for about 1.50$ each.

Otherwise just take one of the "À la carte" packages offered, 15 or 20 channels wil be 20-25$. Take that for a month (or 2) for the playoffs then go back to basic.

Much cheaper than the drinks at a bar every game. And gas to get there.

haha I drink my beers slowly so I wont spend that much

And I always get a kick out of seeing the waitress walking by 52 times to see if I have finished my drink... not so fast, you aint getting all my money

Yeah I will look into the "a la carte " (a la carte my ass you cant use any channel you want. really) for 1-2 months

But the games will be on CBC anyway, so I wont watch all the games in a bar

By the way, CNBC will show the first 4 games of the series, I didnt know that

ridiculous post is ridiculous.

1-people dont go to sleep at 10.
2-retired people have money and time and they outnumber students.

the real reason is there is more Habs and Sens fans across the country than Nucks fans.

2011 - Canadiens vs. Bruins (Game 6 & 7)
How anyone would remember that is amazing but nevertheless I'm not impressed having to do that. look at the loafs 1st game then their next 3 days later, must be nice and who is this person in concert never heard of her and who cares!! she's gotta take a back seat to the Habs.
