Cayden Primeau on waivers (Cleared)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
It means they are giving Monty the best chance to get us 2 points against the weaker Tampa team. No pressure on Dobes at all.
Hmm, Tampa has better shooters than Florida. That might be a reason. Florida will just out-work the Habs. Aside from Reinhart, it isn't a shooter's gallery in Florida.

Florida is just an overall better team and a harder W.

I like to be a little more grounded but hey if he gets blown up....he's only a rookie, right? Habs development has never been an issue.
It’s a back to back and they’re playing TB the game after. TB’s 6 pts behind the Panthers but have 4 games in hand. They’re both really good teams. It’s a coin flip. But I am pretty pie in the sky lol

Primo had been given plenty if chances, and he made a mess of it............everyone beat him high.
He would have two good periods, and lose it all in the third period.

It was time for waivers....he will clear. No one will want to pay him an NHL salary, in the AHL.

If he's picked up on waivers, he has to play on the team.

Does that ever bring back memories.

He was a real nice guy. Had a poignant message to fans, upon his retirement.

But to us, he’ll always be …

However, when he flubbed, we couldn’t let that go unnoticed.

Guess we can add Primeau to our long list of overhyped goaltending prospect busts

McNiven
Hawkeye
Fucale
Tokarski
Dichow
How could we forget Ben Scrivens aha Sievens?

I imagine he is probably hoping to be picked up and start fresh somewhere else. I wish him well.

Not sure what team would want him over their current goalie tandems. What I hope is that he ends up in Laval and gets his game together then starts fresh elsewhere. He is a good kid and I hope he gets his career back on track

I don't know how goalies react to certain situations, and I don't know if we miss out on a talent...but clearly that development wasn't ideal. Hoping that nobody takes him (as it should) and he gets his game back in Laval.
