It means they are giving Monty the best chance to get us 2 points against the weaker Tampa team. No pressure on Dobes at all.Reading Dobes to start against Panthers? Yeah that's a good plan.

I like to be a little more grounded but hey if he gets blown up....he's only a rookie, right? Habs development has never been an issue. The way Dobes plays makes me think he’ll love the challenge. Think he’s got some Mamba mentality there
Hmm, Tampa has better shooters than Florida. That might be a reason. Florida will just out-work the Habs. Aside from Reinhart, it isn't a shooter's gallery in Florida. It means they are giving Monty the best chance to get us 2 points against the weaker Tampa team. No pressure on Dobes at all.
Florida is just an overall better team and a harder W.Hmm, Tampa has better shooters than Florida. That might be a reason. Florida will just out-work the Habs. Aside from Reinhart, it isn't a shooter's gallery in Florida.
It’s a back to back and they’re playing TB the game after. TB’s 6 pts behind the Panthers but have 4 games in hand. They’re both really good teams. It’s a coin flip. But I am pretty pie in the sky lolI like to be a little more grounded but hey if he gets blown up....he's only a rookie, right? Habs development has never been an issue.
If he's picked up on waivers, he has to play on the team.Primo had been given plenty if chances, and he made a mess of it............everyone beat him high.
He would have two good periods, and lose it all in the third period.
It was time for waivers....he will clear. No one will want to pay him an NHL salary, in the AHL.
True but they can always put him on waivers if he doesn't work out. Of course if he clears they would need a place on their AHL team for him.If he's picked up on waivers, he has to play on the team.
Does that ever bring back memories.
True, but the most inexperienced goaltender vs the least dangerous shooting team makes sense, with or without it being a baptism in fire.Florida is just an overall better team and a harder W.
How could we forget Ben Scrivens aha Sievens?Guess we can add Primeau to our long list of overhyped goaltending prospect busts
McNiven
Hawkeye
Fucale
Tokarski
Dichow
If they put him on waivers we can pick him back up and send him to Laval.True but they can always put him on waivers if he doesn't work out. Of course if he clears they would need a place on their AHL team for him.
Because we never drafted him? Actually he was never drafted at all.How could we forget Ben Scrivens aha Sievens?

Not sure what team would want him over their current goalie tandems. What I hope is that he ends up in Laval and gets his game together then starts fresh elsewhere. He is a good kid and I hope he gets his career back on trackI imagine he is probably hoping to be picked up and start fresh somewhere else. I wish him well.
Got sidetracked by the post bringing up the Hamburglar.Because we never drafted him? Actually he was never drafted at all.
Don't we need him in Laval if Dobes is in Montreal?Primeau is a solid AHL G and should be easier to trade once he clears.
Kovacevic tooByron and Monty were good waivers pickups by Bergy.
We got Kulak in a trade if I recallI would even add Kulak to the list
Correct. We got Kulak in a trade if I recall
