Nate probably wont win the Hart anyway, even if he wins the Art Ross. They’ll probably give to Kaprizov and it will be well deserved, and it will be another case of one guy already has one, the other one doesn’t, let’s give it to the one who doesn’t
Bb.bb..bbb.bb.b....b.bbb.b..b.bbut I thought the reason Kuch didn't win last year was because he is Russian and Nate is Canadian.

Julie f***ing Browman.

Holy shit.

I remember there was a poster here who adored her, too. I just can’t remember who.
It was me. I kept saying that I thought Julie was "so hot" but was I was just joking around to see people's reactions. People be all like wtf??.

I miss both Laurens a lot but Jbarra is the one I liked the most. I guess I definitely have a type : Allison Brie/Anne Hathaway 😍😍😍

Its actually fun watching Avs games again. Its been years. Ever since Blackwood and Wedgwood showed up its been night and day difference in the product. Fourgiev can go slash rookies in the Swiss league.
Also trying to win games 2-1 is very good for this team on the long run because you know the 6-5 stuff wasn't a recipe for playoff success.

Another great win. Team is finally starting to remind me a bit of that 22 Cup team, with their two way skating game. They were the better team most of the game.

That first period, you could tell they finally had some practice time recently, because they were snapping pucks around all over the place. Not holding the puck for more than 2 seconds, making the Panthers react to them, not the other way around.

I'm borderline amazed at what a consistently great two way player Drouin has become. To think he's gone from being demoted to the AHL early in his career to one of the most defensively conscious forwards in the entire league, shows how much he's bought in to playing for Bednar.

Another terrific game from Toews. Happy that he's finally putting it all together again. I don't think injuries are what's caused him to slump. He's had too many off nights the last few years for that. It's mental IMO and he's battling physically again while he's defending. That's the key.

Mitts started playing better in the second half of the game so that's good, but I didn't like his first half. Especially when his inconsistency impacts his defensive play. Really didn't like the way he defended that first goal. Was in position to get his stick in the passing lane, but was skating with his stick in the air for some reason, and let two passes go through the middle that he could have blocked, to prevent the goal. Bednar probably had some things to say to him, because he played much better later on.

Can't help but think this is a game where the score and potentially the win column would have looked different with our old goaltending. Blackwood held the fort, kept the score low while the Avs were trying to solve Bob, and gave them a chance. Terrific game from Blackwood to match a great goaltending performance from Bob. A SC final would be very interesting between these two teams. :naughty:

Just to touch on the part about Toews. I’m almost 100% certain that in one of his interviews recently (last couple of weeks) he said he’s finally starting to feel 100% physically. Said that the league is hard enough when you have a nagging injury so being healthy now allows him to play his game.
Paraphrasing, but that’s what I remember from the interview.

Anyone else have a video of it? My paraphrase may be way off

Oh I'm sure his injury impacted his play a bit this season, but it doesn't explain all the off games the last three years. The issue has mostly been mental IMO.

Happy he's feeling better and battling physically again though. This team needs him to play like a top pairing defender and he is right now. Hopefully it continues.

Colton was successful when he was doing that, but he got hurt and turned to ice
I'd almost just stick Middleton in front of the net. Have Rants work on teaching him how to cross-check the absolute shit out of people and get away with it. Teach him to stay just this side of the line but to fight for that terroritory in front of the goalies eyes. Don't even bother trying to get him tipping. Just get him fighting for position and taking the eyes away. Then allow choas to be fed upon.

Parssinen is a pretty big body and could do that as well. Better hands to boot.
