It's really, really nice to have a goaltender finally. The Avs aren't going to dominate every game, and when they are basically even with high-end teams like the Panthers tonight, the better goalie usually gets you the win and tonight, Blackwood was the better goalie.

I thought Mittelstadt looked his fastest and most engaged in over 2 months tonight. It's about time.

I have a strange obsession with Mackinnon’s performance in late zone draws lately. I don’t know if anyone else is noticing but the guy violently puts his body through the dot and straight up refuses to lose when the game is on the line.

What it tells me is he genuinely doesn't give a f*** about other draws, even PP draws, given how good he's looked at these late zone draws. He is almost always winning them with the Avs up late.

Most will say Mack or Makar if the team ever decided to give the C to someone other than Landy. But Toews would be the best choice.
