They’d still be nowhere near as soft as the Oilers. Loved the lack of response from the Oilers watching their meal ticket get manhandled at the end of the game.

Jesus this thread is so stupid, the real asshat in this entire situation is Zadorov with the crosscheck in the back. THe swing from mcdavid was bad, but it hardly connected, and he got a nice slash back (after already getting punched). Then a nice crosscheck to the fact, which techincally wasn't Sous fault. Zadorov being a monkey is the real issue here.

Watch the whole video , right after that Soucy cross, Hyman actually lifted his stick and cross checked Zardov, who is 6'6 and not falling, right in the head. Zadorov need a few stitches after that
Today McDavid when asked about that said he felt fine and was smiling. But I aint complaining about Hyman nor did all you see that cross check to Zs face

Looks unintentional to me. The first crosscheck was to the chest and if you watch closely, the second one was at exactly the same level but McDavid dropped because of the crosscheck from behind and it was a bang-bang play. You have to be responsible for your stick and a 1 gamer kind of makes sense but I don't see this as dirty.

Because the quality of the video on the Hyman incident is awful and you can't clearly see much. If there was a clear as day video much like what happened to McDavid, and it was as bad, I'm sure he would have been suspended. I think that's all there is to it. There's no special NHL DOPS agenda. We all know they just flip a coin on this stuff anyways.

There has to be more angles that the fans aren’t seeing, the arenas are filmed at multiple angles like every NHL arena. The result is what it is at this point. DOPES strike again unfortunately. If one is called for a suspension and the other isn’t it really comes down to favouritism. But that’s fine luckily for the Canucks they have some depth at D with Juulsen and Friedman. “Next guy up” as Tocchet says.

Not sure this was worth a suspension, I dont think their was any intention to check Mcdavid in the face and neck.
