My wife came back
And Soucy was a little injured in the last game. Could be a problem going forward however as any further rough stuff could be punished more harshly. And I'm a little concerned about Juulsen chasing hits. But he has the ability to hang in there. Better than Nurse and Ceci at any rate.
He's one of our best hitters and most physcial players.
Tocchet once again crying to the refs/league, does he ever stop?

This is truly one of those superstar treatment things. We've seen guys cross checked in the nape of the neck as they're on the ice go without a hearing but this one was too glaring with all the cameras fixed on them. They'll say it was because it's after the game had ended and ya, that's fine, good point, but boy.

I kinda agree with Canucks fans. That Hyman crosscheck is just as bad.

Soucy aimed at chest level and only got McDavid in the neck because he was falling forward.
Hyman deliberately targetted the head.
By the NHL's own explanation, he should get 2. But he'll get none because this league is a complete clown show.

If anything, it's worse.
Soucy went for the chest but McDavid fell and he caught him in the chin, Hyman went straight for a dude who's 7 feet tall on skates and got him in the face.

Soucey has missed on a couple of hits that have led to goals . Now they have to go to Scott road and pickup Surrey’s own Juulsen to actually make that hit.
Perception also has an impact on suspensions. I have seen some very lame hits given suspensions because the camera angle made the hit look worse then it was and some bad plays that had awful camera angles and didn't look as bad as it actually was not given suspensions. The crosscheck to McDavid looks far worse then the Hyman one so that will likely have an impact, rightly or wrongly.
Trying to make sense of NHL officiating is a fools errand, It will never make sense. That is why it is something a team just has to deal with, complaining will not win you any games.
Relative to the NFL/NBA/MLB, the people who run the NHL are f***ing amateurs and are bush league.
