The level to which NTC are given out to mediocre dime-a-dozen players is silly. It's not even in exchange for getting paid less. The clauses are just stapled on at the end of contracts by default these days.

Agreed, teams always need big d men. Would slot in very well on the 3rd pair.

Cap going up his contract is fine.

He's having a terrible year according to Canucks fans and has another year left. I don't see why anyone would take him off of Vancouver's hands.

Cog? He has been arguably our worst Dman this year given his role.
I'm not exaggerating when I say he's been the direct result of at least 1 goal in pretty much every game this season.

He can't move the puck, he can't defend or produce points and takes dumb penalty after dumb penalty.

Juulson has also been very bad but Soucy has played a lot more.

I'm not one of those negative type posters and usually I defend this team to a fault but my God Soucy is giving me PTSD.
Anyone who tries to defend him is clearly high on drugs like lol.

It sucks because he was so good last season.

There’s no real rush to trade him, but I do think teams will want him. He was good last year and was physical as hell in the playoffs. Fallen off a cliff this year for whatever reason.

Yea, I’ve loved what I’ve seen from D-Petey in a very small sample, but I don’t see any reason to throw him in full time based on a handful of games. Off season makes way more sense, and still only if it’s a good deal. I don’t see Soucy as a cap dump yet
