It's only a penalty because Hagelin went down amazingly easily. That pick happens on pretty much every face-off. Versteeg didn't disguise it at all though, which doesn't help his case.

Yeah, Versteeg was a little more aggressive on it than you normally see, and he didn't even attempt to disguise it. That's why I think it wasn't very smart.
