There was a case in point on what I was saying. Defenseman pinches and a forward covering back. Wallmark goes for a higher risk, more aggressive play when he's the guy back and the puck gets by him, almost leading to another 2-1.

The team isn't in synch on defense (I don't mean defensemen, I mean team defense). Guys aren't covering back at the right time, guys are taking the wrong angle or both going for the same guy, or in that case, Staal going for a hit (and missing) in the neutral zone. It isn't one guy, it's the entire team.

They are out of synch on *offense* too. Nothing is crisp, offensively and defensively. This is actually pretty typical of a struggling team. They're all trying to do too much, instead of just doing their job. The sheer number of 2-on-1s allowed the past week is stunning. The inability to get *any* traffic or rebounds is amazing.
