Carolina Top 10 Prospects post 2024 draft

Greetings,

Here are the Hurricanes top 10 prospects. Why only 10? Because 15 will make the league a little nervous.

1) Denton Matechuk - coming along nicely. Playing in Cleveland (CLEVELAND!) next year.
2) Nikita Artamanov - already playing in a pro league. Yes his contract is for two years but only the very top take less than two years.
3) Carter Yakemchuk - Defencemen are always harder to bet on. Great size, Great shot. Needs to show he can defend.
4) Artyom Duda - he got screwed by the NCAA. Will play in AHL next year I believe.
5) Pavel Moysevich - already in a pro league. Great size. .942 sv% in the KHL (!!!) His contract is 3 years. Goalies are a long wait.
6) Sergei Ivanov - Starting in the KHL this year on loan to Sochi. I believe he can come over after next year.
7) Tristan Bertucci - Keeps chugging along in the OHL. Not a star. Just steady.
8) Henry Mews - Potential PP QB. Would not be a top pair. Needs to put on some muscle.
9) Maxim Masse - Big boy. Plays a power game.
10) Ryan Winterton - Injury prone. Scoring well in AHL. Had a few callups already to Seattle.

You really added to this list at the draft this year. Mateychuk should be exciting to watch in the AHL this season and maybe get some NHL action too.

Surprised you don't have Yakemchuk first, but regardless a great group of prospects. Duda's situation this year was weird but at least he played against older players, even if the level was less than ideal.
