11 lost the faceoffs
Svetch fumbled the puck at the blue line and instead of skating it out of the zone he flips it to center ice
Bolts come in and that’s all folks.

Edit: Also, a Coaching staff big mistake. Having Walker-Smith on the ice on last faceoff with point-Kucherov line in the last minute is coaching malpractice.

Yes, it's a consistency issue with the top line. They look dominant last game, invisible tonight.
Yea because they don’t have a true top line right winger. Roslovic isn’t it he’s as streaky as they come. But necas wanted more of a role yet I’ve seen him do nothing since Dec 1

Christ how do we keep giving up on our own net front? The offense is so gd dull you'd think we would overcommit on D, especially WITH LESS THAN A MINUTE TO GO, but no. As someone else said, thank goodness the rest of the division -- for now -- is pants, otherwise we'd be looking up at more teams. But hey there's still time for that!

I was gonna hold my tongue if we won and just enjoy the good vibes, but I see such a skill difference between the Canes and the better opponents that they face. It’s not even about goals, it’s just a lot of little misses on loose pucks that didn’t used to happen when it was higher-skill guys in certain roster spots. It’s just enough to tilt a shift, and enough of those will tilt a period and then a game.

It's like a tier difference..in talent and sadly, tenaciousness most nights.

I mean yeah not surprising considering the offseason losses. still not even as bad as I thought it would be, and the reality is our top guys are the ones who are letting us down the past month and a half — all of whom we know are capable of so much more. Once they get it going again we should be fine, and there’s no reason to think they won’t eventually. Hopefully just sooner than later.

And maybe others don’t feel this way but I do think this was a wise time to retool and a necessary time to do so. Trying to keep the band together by overpaying the guys we let walk (either in cap hit or more importantly in term) may have been good for the next couple years but it would’ve shortened our window considerably. Nikishin will be a game changer, we have other exciting prospects in the mix who deserve opportunity or can be used as trade pieces and a ton of cap space to upgrade while having most of our young core locked up long term. Yeah it sucks this year but we’ll be better off for it going forward in my opinion. Only time will tell for sure however.

Speaking of Walker.

I'm not saying he sucks, but I'm not that impressed. I guess it wouldn't bother me so much except hes here for, 5 years.

Not exactly making me feel like this was a good decision.

Bolts played Thursday sat Sunday out west and then had to play tonight.

Even though canes had played bunch too, Bolts were primed for a loss given the west coast/compressed schedule.

Lots of mistakes tonight.

Now Thursday Friday Sunday afternoon. Not going to be pretty.

Maybe our so call “top guys” aren’t really top guys on other teams outside of Aho. Regardless time for a shakeup you can’t win with what they got

I was thinking this too if there was a time to catch Tampa maybe a bit slow it was tonight but for the first period and a bit it looked the opposite. Now Toronto comes in having won 5 straight if we don’t show up for that it’ll be over quick
