I put that on his position coach who is usually the guy who decides if not heavily contributes to the RB personnel decisions. I am guessing they figured he still wasn't too comfortable with the playbook but with Chuba sinking they just decided he had to go in.

Very raw as a receiver but he was the best blocking TE in the draft and has already been great in that aspect in limited reps. The TD was a nice touch. Not sure he'll ever be a Gronk or Olsen but I think he's got some potential in the passing game too.
