The NFL can suck it on saying the first Theilen TD wasn't a catch btw.
They needed to see that he maintained possession through the ground, and there was no camera angle that showed it.

And the reason for that is that FOX brought less than the 9 contractually required cameras to the game, so they didn't have a shot from the other side of the field.

They had enough camera angles that combined for total proof. It was total, unforgivable horseshit.

That's the NFL for you. Don't know if it's true or not but on a certain NFL teams forums I used to frequent someone said that the NFL changed their copyright description with the US from Sports league to Sports entertainment league.

Things that make you go um!

Almost makes the WWE look completely unscripted by comparison

As an Eagles and Panthers fan, I couldn't have been happier with the drop

They need the higher pick more than the win at this point.

Also, Jalen Hurts played a real dumb game
Yeah Bryce outplayed Jalen and I agree with your take on the game. Im fine losing these close games for moral victories as long as we get the opportunity to draft Mason Graham or Mykel Williams or maybe even Will Campbell

Its so wierd, early in the season I was extremely down on Young, I thought he was a failed QB and the Panthers were going to be in a cycle of suck for a very long time.

Ever since he's come back from being benched, I dunno man. This kid looks legit. And not just in a 'oh, he might actually be a NFL QB afterall', I mean I'm seeing glimpses of someone you can build a powerhouse around. He reminds me a lot of Mahomes in his first couple years when you could tell he was good, but the rest of the team just needed to catch up with his ability to improvise and hit guys in stride while scrambling stupidly behind the LOS. And I'm not saying he's going to be that good, but to even have that comparison, knowing the NFC isn't exactly chock full of elite QB play, the Panthers could be a couple years removed from making some serious noise if they just draft well going forward.

And yeah, Hurts had a puzzling game. Bryce played well on his own, but Hurts were terrible. That sack he took at the end of the game was horrendous, he had open guys all game and just shied away from throwing for some reason.

Legette may wind up being the Panthers biggest WR bust ever and he's got a ton of really good competition for that title. UDFA rookie Jalen Coker is 10x the WR Legette is and we've been sorely missing him the last several weeks.

Despite being competitive against some good teams lately, I still have very little optimism for this team and the future. We're gonna probably win a few more meaningless games this year and wind up picking like 12th and miss out on an impact player, of which we really don't have any on the roster right now.

Canales' deficiencies are in areas that coaches don't typically improve much: timeout/clock management, discipline/stupid avoidable mistakes (like a delay of game on 4th and 4 with the game on the line), situational play calling, etc.

Bryce has absolutely been playing much better than he did last year and pre-benching this year. But his improvement is to that of serviceable bottom tier starter/backup QB. He's making some nice plays which hasn't been the case at all in the past but he's still missing throws and doesn't show any ability to really threaten a defense with his arm or legs in any meaningful manner like true franchise QBs need to do these days.

I don't dislike Bryce and I am totally rooting for the kid and Canales to actually turn this team around eventually but I just don't really see it happening. Maybe I'm just extra jaded by Tepper's tenure so far but that's how I see it despite the last few weeks going better than the first half of the season.

Lol, this is an incredibly puzzling take considering in Mahomes' first season as a starter he threw for 50 TDs, 5000 yards and won MVP. Dude was slinging balls 50 yards down field from all different throwing angles hitting receivers right in the hands regularly -- and they were catching them, not needing to "catch up with his ability to improvise."

Bryce is incapable of doing that even once. There is absolutely zero comparison with Mahomes for Bryce in any way. Not in playing style, physical ability or football intelligence.

Ah yes, the classic, highly successful "Hurricanes Strategy"

The transformation has been truly shocking, and I really hope he or Canales (or both) are willing to sit down at the end of the season and do a long form interview on some podcast about what on earth happened during the benching to fix his game. I'm grateful it happened , but man, how the hell?

David Tepper probably sold his soul for this to happen.
