Dalton is gonna screw up the draft position, isn't he

Remember that time we traded a first team All Pro and then rallied to fall one game short of the division title and playoffs?

Then traded our best receiver and multiple high picks including a 1OA so we could go backwards at QB?

Well buckle up…

Trading CMC makes sense if you think you're a rebuilding team, and having a great rb on a rebuilding team doesn't help the Panthers and is unfair to CMC.

It doesn't make sense if the plan is, 6 months later, to then trade your only other talented offensive position player + a ton of draft capital to draft a qb.

The D has some big concerns still but the OL is legit and clearly our weapons are sufficient for a viable QB. The red rifle has my support

And he'll be gone next year but they'll bring in Trey Lance as new competition. Or are there still any viable McCowns out there?

What happened with Young? Is it that he can't do those things at the NHL level that scouts thought he could do? Is it that he can't process the game when it's so much faster and bigger? Or does he still have this in him, but needs a fresh start? Or did the Panthers just ruin him "short term"? Or is he just not big enough to handle the rigors?

He has no elite traits and the game is too fast for him mentally. He doesnt do the things he did at the college leve e.g moving in the pocket to find throwing lanes and he has the worst footwork ive ever seen.

Well maybe that's the damn problem, we drafted him for football but sent out NHL scouts? :sarcasm: Or did we mean for the Hurricanes to draft him and somehow the Panthers grabbed our list and took him

Shorter, leaner version of Tua. Neither has mobility, but were supposed to be very accurate. But, that also requires a quick release since the arm talent is not top end.
See how Dalton does over the next 6 with Cincy, Chi, ATL, NO, Den, Was. Could get to 4-5 or 5-4.

If that happens, it completely shifts the media's blame from the team to Bryce. Think Bryce does get another chance to start later in the season to show whether he can match Dalton's play or not. If he doesn't, then I can see them moving off Bryce in the off-season.
