Giants fan here. Come aboard. Daboll is the real deal. Rhule was the guy the Giants wanted but got left at the altar once the Panthers got aggressive. To think it was Rhule's job to lose and then Ginats hired Joe Judge. How NFL teams can miss this bad on coaches is befuddling.

I will always like/respect the Giants for what they did to the cheaters here in New England, but can't bring myself to "root" for any NFC team. I have teams I root against and don't want to win -- Aints/Bucs/Falcons/Patriots. But otherwise I don't care and don't get too invested if the Panthers suck, as they have lately.. Nice hire with Daboll though, it's cool he's working out so far.

He is a lock for first ballot HoF. Other than a handful of Panthers wins that were epic and memorable, that Giants SB win in 07 is my favorite game of all time. One of the best underdog stories in sports history.

I get the analogy you're trying to make but Millen was bad on his own account. Waddell at least had the excuse of expansion team and having 8 different bosses.

I'm not sure there's been a worse general manager in all sports than Matt Millen. Maybe Mike Milbury? And perhaps the lesson here is if the initials are MM stay away?
