They should sign him.. Carolina is still rebuilding. A 1-2 year deal for a veteran center, I can live with. If he has a 50-60 point season he can be traded to a contending team for picks or prospects.

I actually do think they should re-sign Staal. He still has legs. He's just not going to score like he did before. But he can still drive excellent possession numbers and help shelter the younger guys.
