We suffered for A LONG TIME to get to this point. The cap floor times were dark days indeed.

If DLO gets on there he's got to feel like he won the lottery. Traded right at the deadline to the Canes, played a total of 74 minutes, only 3 of those in the playoffs (1st round game).

I'm not making an argument for or against; it was clear that what he brought was valued by the team when he did get in during his brief time at the end of the regular season, and it sounds like he was highly valued in the locker room. And getting handed the Cup as early as he did would seem to indicate that he'll be included imo. I think the only consideration might be the person in the organization who wouldn't get a spot if DLO is included; teams are limited to 52 names. [fwiw I think he gets on the Cup]

PK counts based on the finals game as backup.

Only semi regular guys I think they'll need to petition for are Delo, Nystrom, and CAL

re: Des....I believe he needed to have played one game against Vegas versus 1 game in the playoffs.....Canes will need to petition League. For team spirit alone though he should be posted.

Nystrom got in 38...that should be a no brainer; CAL only 12 and is a harder case.

I think they'd argue his injury as a circumstance around CAL.

I suspect for some of those it comes down to front office personnel that might get left off. Google says Canes have between 350-500 people in full time business and hockey operations staff. No idea what that means with respect to how a lot of them would be viewed as contributing to the Cup win. I suspect a good portion of them not much (concessions, etc.)

In all fairness the first slide of the original tweet is the true top 10 and 9/10 are Canes lol. Jordan Spence is the only outlier at like 6th.
