More favorable matchups for his style of play. Plus he's not particularly good at playing defense. So you don't want him out there when a talented top line starts running and gunning. He'll get moved around some though as the season progresses.

Doesn't matter where in the line-up he is slotted? He got the most ES and PP playing time of all Canes forwards last year and was slotted the same way as he is now.
