#37 looks like a number of bottom pairing dman . Pretty strange choice from Svech. I'd love to see him with #27 or #7.
He's from Europe on the other side of the Earth. When he goes visit home and thusly stands upsidedown it says Le Svechnikov on the back of his jersey....37?
Shut up. 37 is a prime number.#37 is like one of my least favorite numbers ever for some reason.
Here's to hoping he makes it one of my favorites.
But what number would Faulk and Ryan wear?I'd love to see him with #27 or #7.

Lol it's amazing how much the media hates us so bad. Here's TSN's title "Sabres Take Dahlin First Overall - Kotkaniemi Goes 3rd To Habs"
Better than ESPN. Their headline had Svech #2 but spent all of half a sentence talking about his selection.https://www.tsn.ca/sabres-take-dahlin-first-overall-kotkaniemi-goes-3rd-to-habs-1.1120873

Great little behind the scenes video of Svechnon his trip to Raleigh. Seems like a great kid. So excited to have him as a Cane, not just as a player, but seems to have a great personality too. He’s definitely got more personality than Semin
Rod's sales pitch of Raleigh was painful. "It's easy to get around...uh...it's perfect...uh..."
To be fair there are some large cities in Siberia. Barnaul is similar size to Raleigh. He's also lived in Kazan and Moscow, if anything Raleigh is more appealing than Barrie or Muskegon. But yeah I don't think he cares where he is. It's not like he was raised in a cabin in the tundra or anything."Easy to get around" just might not translate that well to someone who was born in Siberia, that's something you sell someone on coming from NYC or Chicago or something. Not that it really matters
If this was 20 years ago I would disagree. But being up in one of fancy new downtown apartments? Beats being in a lot of other pro cities. He's the same age as a college freshman. There are what, 75,000 ish 18-22 year olds in the area?
Yeah, he will love it in Raleigh. Even more so if Amazon comes to town.
