This team needs a big shake-up and a bold and smart GM, it feels like they don’t want to play, plus it’s obvious that we don’t have enough talent.

For a player with so much skill Eichel really do some head-scratcher stuff at times. aah now they score to
As far as "top" players in the league his Hockey IQ is pretty far down the list. If you were to pick out every teams top player I can't think of too many teams whose best player thinks the game worse than he does. Sadly he (and Reinhart) are still so far ahead of any other forward on the team it's not a mysterious why the team has been trash for so long. We really seem to love collecting stupid players.

When you see a team do nothing but make stupid mental mistakes that is an indictment on the coaching. This was the one issue I had with hiring Kreuger and not a proven experienced guy: it was a sky high risk/reward hire that right now appears to be blowing up in our faces spectacularly. How could anyone with any coaching acumen constantly pair Jack and Sam when they clearly bring out the worst in each other? How do you put Okposo on the PP when the only effective role he can pull off at this point is as a 4th line grinder?

Lackadaisical effort and blind behind the back passes. This is how they play after getting swept in Sweden?

Why do they have to have a Bills segment in the intermission? I tuned in for hockey, not to see schilling for the NFL. Half of the rest of broadcast media is into the NFL, leave hockey for hockey.

Well our D seems to be coached to have 2 feet on the blue line at all times so I'd say it's a bit hard to make an offensive impact

They have been a lot more aggressive with how they pinch and cycle than they were under Phil. Everything with Phil was funnel to the point for shots.

I mean.....if you didn't see a completely flat 1st coming......

We haven't played a lot of games and have had some craptastic travel. Everything added up to more or less what we saw in the 1st. That we SHOULD have come out of that period 1-1 is actually kinda sorta a positive.

Let's see how we respond in the 2nd. The Hurricanes haven't exactly been impressive and we should have our legs under us.

Also -- we might want to consider taking Olofsson off of PP1......just so that the stupid cross-ice passes stop. Other PKs are onto us. DO SOMETHING ELSE. BAH.

If you were our clueless owner what would you be trying like hell to get people to focus on to distract from the complete sh*te that is his hockey team?

Do you think Makar would play as he does if you put him in this tire-fire team?
I don’t think he would at all. That’s what I’m saying, our prospects never take that next step. Look at Mitts, former number 1 prospect in the world, looks like a lost puppy. I bet if he was a Ranger he would be a top 6 center

Ehh I wouldn't say alot more, they still funnel alot of pucks to the point instead of getting bodies to the net. I would like to see some defensemen cutting to the net while they cycle the puck to keep teams thinking

That shouldn’t matter with that hype Dahlin had. I expect Dahlin to play like that.

He's been better than he was in games 5-15. I think he's finally starting to react again rather than think through every decision. His going to the net opened up the passing lane for Sheary over to Skinner. That's the aggressive play we need more from him. That's him not thinking and doing what his instincts say he should.

On the plus side it did appear Eichel dominated his head-to-head matchup against Aho on an individual basis. Except of course on the scoreboard. Aho's goal was on the PP. Jack clowned him a few times.
