I quit smoking too, been about 10 years now. I got to the point pretty quickly where I hardly ever miss them so maybe you'll get there too. Well done in any case, best thing I ever did as well. Thanks broseph , my likes are temporarily disabled so I'll just add it was the best decision I ever made. But boy do I miss them.
Tavares should take the faceoff and then get off the freaking ice!
You have to admit it would be a nice change of pace. This would be our playoff matchup in a 1 vs 8 playoff format. Maybe I should stop bitching about Bettman's playoff system lol.
Well they would be our best chance of winning a round. The rest just get more difficult and unlikely for us to win. This would be our playoff matchup in a 1 vs 8 playoff format. Maybe I should stop bitching about Bettman's playoff system lol.
When Reilly came back it went from 50% to last in the league.Rielly is useless on the pp and Keefe is afraid to demote him?
I quit 38 years ago when my son was born. Quitting was so strange, cold turkey and never had a craving, funny thing though I kept reaching for my smokes for about a month after. Just habit, that sort of proved it to me.I quit smoking too, been about 10 years now. I got to the point pretty quickly where I hardly ever miss them so maybe you'll get there too. Started and stopped when I was 14. We stole them from Safeway during summer.Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life
Congrats, man
Yeah same. But after a certain amount of months and psychological torture I loved the health boost and things I found to replace my habits. It was night and day for excercise and working etc. I feel better than I did when I was in my 20s. It's a journey for sure. Cheers.Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life

Agree mostly. Only comment i'd make is Gio should be 8th and Benoit a solid 7th at worst. But I fear in the crunch Keefe would dress Gio over Benoit.Defence to me at this point...
McCabe for me has been solid this year.
Mo has done his thing... not always pretty but he's needed and more of a number 2 but has all the heart.
Brodie is subpar and I've always liked Brodie for the most part but he hasn't been good enough.
Lilly is like Robertson for me. I see a lot of potential still and I hope he has a big last 15 or so games and a great playoffs.
Boosh is what Mo needs and I said it before and I'm probably in the minority ... I liked him before and he seems better now. Solid pickup.
Edmondson don't know him much. Hope it works but so far don't notice much. Decent tonight.
Gio should be a 7th.
There's more but that's where I'm at and that's a pretty easy going version.
Mediocre D. It can get us somewhere with good goaltending.
Fair point. Maybe drinking has just become so much a part of our social fabric that it's just there, and we don't really think about it? I kind of grew up with it, it's been lots of fun and while I don't drink that much any more, I still love to have a beer or two every now and then (like almost always when watching hockey on a Saturday night) and I love whiskey. I know it's not good for my health but unless I develop health issues, I don't see myself ever giving up alcohol completely. But you're completely right about how much damage alcohol has done, and still does to people!Dont you find the alcohol industry to be just as detrimental for people as gambling a few bucks on parlays? Alcohol has ruined many peoples lives I don't need to preach here , not everyone can handle their poison like a gentleman. But hating on gambling while actively promoting one of the deadliest substances in human history makes me chuckle. Not hating just wondering how everyone gives Alcohol ads a pass but not Proline etc
will take it lol, Carolina is a good team!just got home notice score is 0-0 good start..... I think....![]()

Keefe doesn't trust Timothy and he's too scared to demote Rielly. What other coach makes changes to a powerplay that was operating near 40% for 6-7 games, only Keefe because he tends to overthink everything too much.

Wow I used to smoke cigars but never inhaled. Montecristo no 2’s were heavenI find that Reilly takes far too long to make a decision on the PP and when he does it usually detrimental.
Under Babcock he was more inclined to carry the puck in but I feehe has lost his confidence somewhat.
Cigar at 15 and that was all it took.
That and using a straw to drink a pint of beer as fast as I could.
A silly game played by drunk teenagers.
Yeah it's funny how everyone's different. For some people quitting smoking isn't that hard, for others it's almost impossible, or maybe impossible period. Everyone's body chemistry is different etc. I remember trying to quite a bunch of time, kept failing, then finally I did it without that much difficulty, just weird. I think what helped is that I started smoking chemical free tobacco, and the cravings lessened overnight. I'm 100% convinced that cigs are pumped full of chemicals to make them more addictive, just an incredibly disgusting industry. I feel incredibly lucky that even though I had my first smoke when I was 10 I think and smoked an avg. of close to a pack a day for about 40 years, I finally quit and almost 10 years later, I seem to have escaped major health issues (touch wood). So lucky, and thankful!I quit 38 years ago when my son was born. For sure, cigarettes are a nicotine injection device with a million horrible additivesYeah it's funny how everyone's different.
