Hurricanes @ Blues - 8pm EST - Scottrade Center - FS Carolinas

A lazy GDT in honor of our lazy captain :sarcasm: Seriously, I don't have photoshop skillz so this is basically what you'll get.

On with the show.

The Carolina Hurricanes have stunned the hockey world, going 4-0-1 in their last five games with much maligned Justin "juicy rebound vezina" Peters and Manny "True Captain" Malholtra leading the way.

As the Canes Trap their way to Lord Stanley's cup, they will be faced with many obstacles along the way.

M.T Knett haunting their nightmares.

The ghost of Chad LaRose causing players to lose the puck on their stick (But really just Semin)

And of course, Eric "lazy Captain" hibernating through the winter, only to be awaken by the Olympics and a Justin Bieber song (wait, Eric probably listens to Celine Dion.)

But no such road block is quite as daunting in nature as is this one :

"Hey guys, wanna go kill some zombies after the game?"

Alexander Steen, the new face of the NHL, future Goal scoring record holder and the man that will make the Canes his ***** faster than John Tavares did welcomes our Hurricanes to the blues city.

In past years, I'd say the Hurricanes were doomed the '5-1' loss. However, this is the new Hurricanes. Where grinding up the boards leads to wonderful chances by Jordan Staal and Pat Dwyer, no longer fanning on great passes.

Where a defense covers up for Peters like they never did for Ward because they hate Ward (I hope Ward is not playing lol)

Where Brett Bellemore will SHUT DOWN Alexander Steen and make him remember that he's not the face of the NHL. Just a decent two way player making little over 3.5M (Less than Tuomo Ruutu)

Where Justin Peters will scare the blues with his bark and his outrageously bad rebounds, forcing the blues to miss the net wide.

All these things will happen and Tripp will say something stupid. Tune in at 8pm!

You stole my thunder, dude lol. Not that my GDT is that much better :)

Well, you were 27 minutes past my 6 hours rule.:sarcasm:

However, I'll still count this win/loss/whatever under your name, as you still made a GDT.

That said...we're going to get absolutely steamrolled by Steen-Backes-Oshie. Ugh.

Gleason, Komi, Harrison, Bellemore, Hainsey, Faulk, Sekera.

Our defense will not lack size tonight! Slick move by Muller, I think. Give the kid a day off, and load up on size against a physical opponent.

Although, on Muprhy's behalf, he seems to do quite well in the physical spots that he engages in.

Why not just scratch Komi and put murph on the 4th line and PP. Makes no sense... Where are our points from the defense come from??
