Oh, and carolina's gonna be playing 2 games in less than 24 hours. There should be no excuse to lose to a winless team (barring tonight's result vs Arizona),

Looks like ARZ going all out for no. 97.

If kreider wasn't suspended for his board, it would be really dumb if Nolan gets suspended.

Exactly. The Nolan hit was pretty much a nothing hit. Stupid play, 2-4 minutes, leave it at that unless he's just getting a stern talking to for being reckless. Kreider's was savage in comparison.

This was 11th match of the Kings since 2010 (or better say since first Kopitar season in NHL) without Kopitar. Results in those 11 matches:

- 1 SO win
- 1 OT loss
- 9 regular time losses

I would say his absence does have huge effect on Kings and everybody should be thankfull that he is so durable...

Does Kopitar make a difference? I'd say yes...

To add to this, from Rosen:

The Kings, who have been outscored 11-4 during a five-game trip that has started with an 0-2-1 record, will welcome him with open arms. Though the team’s ability to direct play towards the attacking end hasn’t been an issue during five-on-five play on this road trip, the Kings’ leading scorer for seven straight seasons leads the team with a +17.2% Corsi percentage relative to his teammates.

The guy is unquestionably the pulse of this team.

Wow, looks like Semin might be scratched for the weekend...

...what a washout.

The pulse needs to get back in the lineup and start putting up some points if he's gonna tie the record for consecutive seasons leading the team. We've been spoiled that he's been so durable over the years.

Before I hear any day game ****, it's gonna be 5:00 in Raleigh and they have been in the central and eastern time zones for almost a week.

LOL look at our "healthty" scratches...looks like a throwback to the 1976 Flyers.

Still nothing official, but I gotta believe he's in, because after the Nolan suspension, no one is sweating anything.

He's expected to play, but nothing official yet.

Right, Rosen said we won't know until warmups, but given the suspension, he should go.

just making sure cause i picked him for the fgog lol maybe i should edit with a just in case pick thanks for the infor

I think its fair to assume he's playing.

I just can't update the GDT that way because it will look stupid if he is pulled at the last minute. Once they confirm he is in warmups, I will update it.

Talking about Kopitar, DailyFaceoff has him centering the first line again with King and Brown, with that '70s line taking over second line duties again. It's a fair assumption.

Also, can't remember where I read it, but Gaborik is really close to returning. Would love to see him at least get a shot in at Dallas.
