What happened?
Werenski was skating in with the puck for a scoring chance and Sean Walker was doing his best to hold him off and keep him to the outside. Kochetkov came out to the edge of his crease - possibly to try to go for the poke check, or something - and stayed out there just a heartbeat too long so he couldn't get away and Walker's hip plowed straight through the side of his head. He goes down like a sack of potatoes behind the net and literally doesn't move for, like, half a minute or more, and was woozy getting off the ice. :(

I love Voronkov play in the front of the net. And Johnson passes are beautiful.

Kent will be a NHL already in this season and I am not interested what "experts" and fans of other teams think.

Screen it!

This has become a fun hockey team to watch. They don't give up and so you have to keep watching even when it seems like things are not going well.

Maybe we slow our roll on that a bit. Carolina is a superior team that dominated much of the game.

The CBJ finished a few chances and got some luck but my no means did they dominate or control play. They played hard but the Hurricanes are so much faster paced in their game. I hope the CBJ can become what they already are.

You'd expect more from a 12th overall pick, but not his complete fault, Jarmo really messed him up
I mean would you, though? I think it's up for debate. #12 is different from top-5 or so, there's some variance and not everybody makes it. From a cursory look I'd even say Cole is doing better than average or at least average... Probably shouldn't have played so many games so quick though.

The kid's only 21.5 years old. I think there's still more talent there, offensively and defensively, but despite some frustrations I think he's doing pretty well. Maybe he should play lower in the lineup right now but hopefully he'll be a 2C or a great 3C eventually.

Sillinger has improved a lot from last 2 years. He's actually serviceable with the puck on his stick and he's keeping up. His biggest issue is that he can't finish. I have faith that could improve over time. The biggest problem, his skating, is largely fixed which is very encouraging.
