please waive malone now

Assuming Tlusty and Nestrasil aren't too far off (I don't think they've been skating), we could be looking at a full lineup really soon.

Staal // Staal // Semin
Skinner // Rask // Lindholm
Gerbe // Nash // Terry
Dwyer // McClement // Nestrasil
Boychuk

I dunno if they risk a claim on Terry or Boychuk (I'm pretty sure both have to clear to be sent down). There's just no room for him. Not that there ever should have been.

EDIT: Err, fit Tlusty somewhere in there too.

Just quoting this to compare to what they've iced for most of the last few games:

Gerbe // Staal // Terry
Skinner // Rask // Lindholm
Dwyer // Nash // Malone
Boychuk // Mcclement // Woods

Mix and match Shugg and several wingers where needed, but that's a huge difference.

Staal played less minutes than any forward not named Boychuk or Woods. Anyone think this might become a trend, or is it just because he's playing injured?

Yeah, he's clearly hurt. Watch him out there, he really can't do much of anything and I'm not sure why they just don't sit him. He basically parks himself behind the net in the offensive zone and hopes to feed guys out front. He isn't well enough to even try that wrap-around that we know he loves.

Skating wise, he's got no speed or strength what-so-ever. I really wish they'd just shut him down at this point.
