I wouldn't consider Aho that much of an unknown. He more than held his own with the best players in the world at the WCH. He was also a stand out at the WC and the WJC. He's about as much of an unknown as Auston Matthews.

Probably fair value, and I'd love to have Jonny Hockey on our team, but I doubt our management gives up those two for one player asking $8M per year when we need more forwards, not less.

Wait, because he hasn't hit 40 points (39 two years in a row is soo far off of 40) on an offensively inept team, his development is over at 21 and he has no chance of being a premier forward? Huh, good to know.

There's a very short list of players I would be happy with if Gaudreau can't be re-signed to a reasonable deal that the Flames like. Lindholm is not near that list.
