Just... why?

Lindholm hasn't shown even close to Johnnys level yet(talk potential all you want, time is running out)and Aho is a totally unknown quantity.

We can just hold onto Gaudreau, wait for him to get signed, and be done with all of these Gaudreau threads.

I wouldn't consider Aho that much of an unknown. He more than held his own with the best players in the world at the WCH. He was also a stand out at the WC and the WJC. He's about as much of an unknown as Auston Matthews.

I love Gaudreau, but I wouldn't do it. Doesn't make sense for us right now. Nor should/would Calgary.

He's played 3 seasons and hasn't hit 40 points. He won't be a premier threat like he could've been when drafted.

Which means the trade is still a second liner and a good to great prospect with no NHL experience for our second best player.

Wait, because he hasn't hit 40 points (39 two years in a row is soo far off of 40) on an offensively inept team, his development is over at 21 and he has no chance of being a premier forward? Huh, good to know.

He's your best player.

There's a very short list of players I would be happy with if Gaudreau can't be re-signed to a reasonable deal that the Flames like. Lindholm is not near that list.

Lindholm for Gaudreau is a lot better value for value than what the OP is offering. Btw Why the hell was Lindholm even brought up in this thread?

This thread is not about Hampus Lindholm...everyone is referring to Elias Lindholm
