And their arena is great. The chants are annoying.I don't love the chants, just because they seem....IDK. Inorganic? But they have a fantastic crowd

Grats to your boys. Better team won and my Preds made it more exciting than I thought they would for sure. Represent Southern Hockey for us well going forward!

Their crowd is amazing. IMO the issue with the chants is just that they seem locked into doing a “bit”. I’ve seen this happen with rock bands before. When they’ve been touring for a long time, what started as a spontaneous crowd interaction gets replicated over and over by the traveling superfans, and eventually it gets to a point where there’s almost a scripted crowd interaction for each song. Some people really enjoy the insider feel of knowing all the cues... personally I find it cheesy and a lot less moving than a genuine, spontaneous crowd response.
The Rammstein concerts have gone into this. They have MASSIVE structures built for a tour, with various sorts of bells and whistles and pyrotechnics to be utilised, but the supposed rock concert is very literally become a scripted show that repeats itself as is from city to city.Their crowd is amazing. Canes Twitter team has really lost their way. The last few have felt less “memey” and more kicking a team while they’re down. Like, I don’t think they even put up a “Thanks for a great series” tweet that most teams do when they move on.
I generally agree with this, but will note that they did post this before the other stuff:Canes Twitter team has really lost their way. Here’s how it works in these parts.I get what you are saying and don’t completely disagree. Still, if the fans love doing the chants, then to je, it doesn’t matter if it’s rehearsed or nonorganic.
first time I went to a baseball game in Japan was the Tokyo (Yomiuri) Giants vs the Hiroshima Carp. The game was so much fun as fans of the team at bat would chant, blow horns, etc. the entire time their team was at bat, and it was clearly rehearsed and organized, but man were they into it. Then the opposing team would do the same when their team was at bat. There were songs after every run or home run.
it was all rehearsed, but incredible and you could see the fans were into it. Was really cool

His first call of "all right, Hamilton!" was sneaky good.
As an aside, I've been playing the Yakuza games, and they are incredible.+1..I've been to several Japanese BB games too....organized structure plays into their society of course.
They did compliment them, and hit the note of southern hockey.
I think this tweet pushed Nashville to block Carolina:
While that must pour salt in the wound for Nashville, I couldn't help but find it funny myself. As I was reading that meme, I realized that among other reasons, there is great potential for a rivalry between Carolina and Nashville (if we ever are in the same division permanently) with arguing over who has the loudest arena in the NHL.
I'm happy that the Predators fans have their thing going on. Remember it wasn't that long ago that the Blackberry guy wanted to relocate them to Ontario, right when they were on the cusp of competing for the first time. Losing that market would have eventually been a huge blow for the league.

Their live performance actually made headlines many years back. It was the on-stage oral sex that caused some agitation.See? That’s why I RATHER WANNA SEE GODDAMN TURMION KÄTILLOT LIVE. I WILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT’LL BE ABOUT. EXCEPT GROTESQUE, MORBID AND PERVERT LYRICS.
