Updated roster here - deals wise, I'm looking for picks and prospects to help a quick reload, more physicality and skill in bottom six, maybe another depth dman, maybe the dream RW for Crosby, moving Jack Johnson without paying my firstborn (so probably not moving Jack Johnson)

Still shopping William Nylander for a top pair RD. Could also swap Reilly for a RD of equal calibre. Andersen for picks, prospects or cheap roster players.

:leafs press release:
After our recent playoff failures we felt it was time for an organizational shakeup. Through the acquisition of defensively competent forwards in Marcus Foligno and Zach Aston-Reese we feel we are tougher team to play against. Furthermore Jared Spurgeon is expected to be able to finally truly solidify our blueline for a long time to come. We have full faith in Matt Murray and Jack Campbell to be an elite tandem as we have seen to be more successful in recent years then one true starter. We'd like to thank William, Justin and Travis for their contributions to the Maple Leaf organization and the city of Toronto and wish them the best of luck through their careers.

SHARKS ACQUIRE FOUR IN BLOCKBUSTER TRADE WITH FLAMES

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks announced today that the team has acquired forward Sean Monahan, forward Andrew Mangiapane, defenseman Rasmus Andersson, and a 2020 1st round pick (20th overall) from the Calgary Flames in exchange for forward Tomas Hertl and defenseman Erik Karlsson.

Monahan (6' 2", 200 lbs, 10/12/1994) joins the Sharks after spending the last seven seasons in Calgary. During that span, Monahan tallied 194 goals and 411 points in 541 NHL games. Prior to turning pro, he spent three seasons with the OHL's Ottawa 67's, including one as Captain. The Brampton, Ontario native was drafted in the 1st round, 6th overall by the Flames in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Andersson (6' 1", 214 lbs, 10/27/1996) comes to San Jose after spending two full seasons with the Flames, 41 points and 80 penalty minutes in 149 games. Prior to turning pro, he was Mangiapane's teammate in Barrie of the OHL, where he tallied 124 points and 148 penalty minutes in 131 games. The Malmo, Sweden native was drafted in the 2nd round, 53rd overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Mangiapane (5' 10", 184 lbs, 4/4/1996) comes to the Bay Area following his first full NHL season, notching 17 goals and 32 points in 68 games. Prior to turning pro, he spent three seasons with the OHL's Barrie Colts, including a 51-goal campaign in 2015-16. The Bolton, Ontario native was drafted in the 6th round, 166th overall by Calgary in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Additionally, the Sharks have signed Mangiapane to a 4-year, $12 million extension ($3 million Average Annual Value).

"We know some may question this move," said the Sharks GM. "But we felt that, following a disappointing season, we needed to shake things up. Erik is an elite talent, but we're happy to get Rasmus, who we feel is quickly becoming an elite talent in his own right. Acquiring Sean makes us better up the middle, and Andrew provides some much-needed secondary scoring."

The 2020 NHL Entry Draft continues virtually this weekend. San Jose will be on the clock soon.

Calgary confirm. We are extremely pleased to get a defenseman with the skill of Karlsson and center with the skill of Hertl, and although we gave up a bit to get this, we believe these additions will serve us well in the long run.
