NMCs/NTCs can get complicated.

Offer sheeting would be fun, but also complicated unless a minimal value for every RFA of note is decided in advance, perhaps by you.

It would be very important that a participant does not simply decide what his/her own RFAs are in line for. You might have to make the decision in advance. For cap-related reasons, some teams are theoretically not currently in the financial situation to retain their own RFAs. If we're deciding on our own, the we may give a guy 2 M per when his comparables on the market were getting i.e. 4.5 M+. That would be too utopian.

Other concern:
A number of teams have a college prospect or two who needs an ELC by August 15th, if he is to be retained. That team should have to make the decision on giving that player an ELC. That player is otherwise a UFA. It would be unrealistic for that player to simply sign with the drafting organization's AHL team before testing free agency.

In Eich's mock it was on us to re-sign our RFAs and if the board had a problem they would have to be redone. In the GM games there is an agent that the GMs have to negotiate with. On @Carl182 to make that call.

Well, in Eich's most recent drafts, he was using the tool Evolving-hockey, which made predictions/generalizations about what a player will be earning on his next contract. However, this tool is not free of charge.

I was told several times that what I was giving certain RFAs wasn't sufficient enough and honestly felt that sums being suggested easily didn't take the stagnant cap and the impact of our Corona reality into consideration, but ultimately I stuck to them.

It'd be best to have everybody at the same table with respect to which RFAs are getting what.

In general though, I think offer-sheeting would add some spice.

Sorry for the delay @OB5 and @Chapin Landvogt

From my only experience in a mock, I signed my RFA with Washington at what I taught was fair value and PM Eich to make sure. I think it's @OB5 who signed Domi at bit under value, Eich told him and he raised it a bit in last mock. This is why I was thinkng you have until UFA market opens to sign them, levae time to make trades to clear cap and adjust the signateures before UFA market if it's off value. But I understand both your concerns. I never did one with an universel agent so not sure about this one.

Also there shoudn't be too much offer sheets, Tampa, St-Louis and maybe Barzal?

A number of teams have a college prospect or two who needs an ELC by August 15th, if he is to be retained. That team should have to make the decision on giving that player an ELC. That player is otherwise a UFA. It would be unrealistic for that player to simply sign with the drafting organization's AHL team before testing free agency.

Edit: The mock will probably start the 15th or after so UFA.

But I hear your concerns.

Only 3 teams left without a GM! If you can take a second team go ahead or if you know anyone who would like to join, please bring them on board!

New York Islanders, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals.

IF BY THE END OF THE WEEKEND ALL TEAMS HAVE A GM, THE MOCK DRAFT WILL START MONDAY AUGUST 17th AT 8:00 AM ET.

If you are GM of only 1 team and can manage a second one please request it so we can start on time!
New York Islanders, St Louis Blues and Washington Capitals.
Also, if not taken care of, please post your roster before we start the mock!:thumbu::)
