Right now I'd say he's probably the best bet, though who knows for sure? someone might pull a Pogge next year and come out of left field to be the #1

He's the most likely bet, but who can tell a year away. It wasn't long ago that Dubnyk seemed the sure thing to be starting this year.

Yes the only thing that left him out this year was experience IMO.

Price will be the guy next year and he will go head to head with Frazee. Price should have been there this year as the back-up.

That and when asked to participate in a morning scrimmage during camp he told Sutter he doesn't skate on game days when he's playing.

im sure that went over about as well as pouliots haircut

anyone notice his still shaggy hair? apparently he had a hissy fit about cutting off his precious locks

Certainly the favourite as of today I suppose ..

However that all depends on the coach .. If Brent Sutter comes back for #3 you never know ..

He hand picked both Glass and Pogge and neither attended the Summer camp so both were longshots ..

As we have learned Sutter walks to his own drummer and expect the unexpected ..

The hottest goalie going into the tournament selection deadline will be the one that makes the team

Definitely. Notice they haven't even taken an underage goalie just to get experience either.

For all we know the current backup at *insert team here* could be the starter next year. Price will definitely have the hyoe and recognition, but he has to show it on the ice first.

Price was the odds on favourite to be the starter this year. He wasn't. Pogge came out of nowhere.

There isn't a goalie in sites that will challenge Price next year, but like I said this time last year we were saying the same thing.

Debyuk is the same age as Pogge.

Pelletier (Drummondville) based on draft ranking and U-18 experience would be the other guy.
I was guessing
Carey Price
Pier-Olivier Pelletier
Alexandre Vincent
Jean-Phillipe Levasseur
Jonathan Bernier

I really don't see how he couldn't end up being the starter. here isn't really anyone to take his place.

He didn't make it this year and I'd be surprised if he didn't get beat out again next year.
