I didn’t know this but Gainey said that if Minnesota didn’t take Pouliot at 4 that would have been Montreal’s pick instead of Price.
Heard that too, lucky they took Pouliot. Shows the ineptness of Timmins.I didn’t know this but Gainey said that if Minnesota didn’t take Pouliot at 4 that would have been Montreal’s pick instead of Price.
Awful. Can't speak correctly in any language lolTony Marinaro is such a damn bad interviewer
I don't think many people had Price ahead of Pouliot. I wouldn't put that on Timmins at all.Heard that too, lucky they took Pouliot. Shows the ineptness of Timmins.
Too bad Benny never put it together those first 20-30 games he was a stud thoughI don't think many people had Price ahead of Pouliot. I wouldn't put that on Timmins at all.
I remember........Pierre Mcguire, said when Gainey drafted Price, and PM says what a huge miscalculation in judgement by the Montreal Canadiens...............he was positive they would take Brule. He couldn't stop talking about what a terrible pick Price was for the team. LOLBetter Pouliot than Brule
I don't know, Pouliot was pretty bad. A lot of stars were on the boardI don't think many people had Price ahead of Pouliot. I wouldn't put that on Timmins at all.
Sure, 20 years later. But back in 2005, Pouliot was considered a high end prospect and he went where he was projected.I don't know, Pouliot was pretty bad. A lot of stars were on the board
No doubt Pierre’s take aged like milk, but at the time it wasn’t crazy, and hindsight is 20/20. The Habs had Theo and Huet and badly needed scoring, preferably from the center position (some truths stand the test of time: death, taxes, and the Habs needing a center). Brule was a top prospect and would've filled an obvious need. PM was like why the f*** would you draft a goalie when you already have 2, and can't score worth a damn. His logic fit the Hab's context in 2005.I remember........Pierre Mcguire, said when Gainey drafted Price, and PM says what a huge miscalculation in judgement by the Montreal Canadiens...............he was positive they would take Brule. Brule was terrible.........Pouliot was decent......
I am also reminded at the time, all 19 TSN guys picked the leafs over the habs in da playoff............Price says hold my beer.
Price made alot of analysts look like idiots...........Price is pure class and always seems to say the right things.
A HOF career wasted by the bum Bergevin.
what a douche-canoe Bob would have beenI didn’t know this but Gainey said that if Minnesota didn’t take Pouliot at 4 that would have been Montreal’s pick instead of Price.

I will say, however, that ever since Brule flamed out, and seeing how great Anze Kopitar is with LAK, he later started saying he would've taken Kopitar over Price. Until 2019, PM was still banging that drum, less after the 2019 run. Yeah, hindsight's 20/20 - for all.
Loved Price in 2019 - suck it Toronto Sports Network![]()

We should now (and throughout Price's tenure), give thanks to Minnesota for saving the Habs from themselves.what a douche-canoe Bob would have been
