Not that I want Martinook up there, but Necas and Jarvis do run their course for the physical limitations those mixes have. I get why Brind'Amour goes that route on occasion. I don't think he's dumb or plays favorites.

Watch former Sabre Rasmus Ristolainen in Philadelphia. He doesn't read pucks out of his own zone. At all! In addition, don't get too down on yourselves. You have such a strong team. When your last minute deadline addition is on the fourth line. There are bigger problems at hand. Some tightening up in the right areas; and Carolina will be in the thick of it. Your team attacked relentlessly, Buffalo had a few lucky breaks. However, I do understand frustration.

Sabres fan coming in peace. Moved to NC before The Whale migrated, and follow CAR for the playoffs. You Caniacs let me hang around your board the past few playoffs. I've always appreciated the cerebral humor of your board.
Surprised BUF got a win. CAR dominated the first ~10 min or so, then BUF the next ~30. 3rd pd got feistier as it went on. Can't believe CAR didn't score at least one 6-on-5 as they had it nearly 4 minutes.
Wife and I will be at Thursday's game. Haven't been to RBC/PNC/etc. since Skinner's last year there.
Should be a good game. CAR has a complete team, well-balanced.
FWIW, I thought the black pants were fine. I agree the wordmark pales in comparison to the logo. Glad they doubled-up the flags on the shoulders, though. IIRC, years ago they were single flags - tropical storms - not the true hurricane. I live on the coast and have been through over 2 dozen named storms. I often take a photo of the municipal bldg flag pole here when they raise the double squares for a hurricane warning.

Quite simply, this group needs to decide what they are and be that. Are they a true contender or are they a B level team that might win a round in the playoffs?
I hate being cliche, but I like our group, and I believe the answer is in the locker room. This group hasn't made the playoffs 4 straight seasons by accident. They can take anybody in a 7 game series, if they bring it.

I won't be there Thursday but I'm visiting a buddy in Raleigh in three weeks and was assuming we'd have a playoff game to attend. I live in Charlotte so it's not the end of the world if not, but I do love Carolina fans in the playoffs. One day the Sabres will do that again, in the meantime, you guys deserve all the support for housing us transplants.

Spent the afternoon/evening vomiting and then watched the first 2 periods. Immediately vomited after turning it off. I blame the Canes and not this weird thing I’ve got going on.

If we play Boston in the playoffs I will be the GDT master. I made both the GDTs for the Boston games I was at and we smoked them 13-1 in those 2 games... Also notable is the fact that I didn't make Boston GDTs for our playoff series' against them, maybe if I had we'd already have 2 cups by now, hmm
edit: actually I was mistaken, I did not make the GDT for the January game. therefore I can't be trusted to make any in the playoffs and will be removing myself from consideration
