Also, DAMN has Risto ever turned into a trash player. I thought that guy was a stone-cold lock to be one of the major defensemen of his generation. I just looked and the guy is 25 freakin years old already. This is what he is.

To have those kinds of tools and turn them into that kind of game is just a crime.

If you look closely there’s actually a funny moment there.

All three Sabres were back in position, no possible way for them to be surprised. At the last second, Dahlin looped around behind Rodriguez into a completely different lane.

When Necas turns the jets on, for just a split second, you can see Rodriguez point like “Hey Rasmus you got this”, and you can see him look around at nothing but wide-open ice where Dahlin used to be. And then panic.
