Yeah the penalty rule is the problem here. If you ever wave off a goal you should be reviewing it by default.

I thought it was iffy at first but the more I watch the replay the more convinced I am that it should have counted. Biased maybe but rask made the save, then knocked it in himself. He wasn't prevented from making the save, even if teravainen hadn't been pushed in. Also doesn't the ref directly behind the net signal goal first?

Yeah the penalty rule is the problem here. If you ever wave off a goal you should be reviewing it by default.

Yep, just go full f***ing VAR with it. And I HATE VAR. But it is so much of a superior system to what the NHL has in place that it's not even funny.

Yep, call on the ice should have been good goal and force Boston to risk the challenge, just no justification for not calling that a goal with the way that play developed.
