Tonight, in Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY, at 7.30 p.m. ET, there be hoccy.
NY Islanders, after having played 67 games, are at 75 points.
Carolina Hurricanes, after having played two games less, have as many points as games.
Now if Hurricanes get two points from the each of the games in hand, and manage to win NY Islanders today for two more, they will only have to win two more games than NY Islanders in the rest of the season to be right behind Toronto Maple Leaves, the current holder of the 2nd Wild Card position.
I don't think they have it in them to put too much distance between themselves and the Canes in the meanwhile, and they will be routed anyway because of the furious Canes comeback.
There are other teams in play, but they can't be very good because they're behind Canes.
All in all I think we got this bagged. Stanley Cup Playoffs here we come.
