"explain an effective power play strategy to an nhl coach, in the style of a nanny addressing a 5 year old child"

Well hello there! It's nice to meet you, little one! Today, I'm going to teach you about something really fun called a power play in hockey.

First, we want to make sure we have our best players on the ice during the power play. These are the players who are really good at passing and shooting the puck, and who can make quick decisions under pressure.

Next, we want to set up in a special shape called the "umbrella." It looks kind of like an upside-down umbrella with one player at the top and two players on each side. This helps us move the puck around quickly and make it hard for the other team to defend against us.

Then, we want to make sure we're passing the puck really fast and aiming it carefully. We want to keep the other team moving and guessing, so we should be passing the puck back and forth between our players and taking shots on goal whenever we see a chance.

We also need to be aware of how much time is left in the power play. If there's not much time left, we might need to take more shots and try to score quickly.

And finally, we need to be ready to change our strategy if the other team is playing really well. We might need to try something new to keep them on their toes.

So that's an effective power play strategy, Coach! We want to have our best players on the ice, set up in the umbrella shape, pass the puck fast and aim it carefully, be aware of the time left, and be ready to change our strategy if we need to. Good luck out there, Coach!

“Maybe you’re too busy picking your noses or playing video games” got an actual LOL from me and I’m home alone at my desk.

I LOL'ed at this one:

Consultant 1: Uh, excuse me? Did you just threaten to fire us over a simple timesheet?

Manager: Simple? Ha! That's rich coming from someone who can't even be bothered to fill it out on time.

Hi! I'm here for the riot. Am I early?

I'm also in the leadership development program at my job. This is big for me. Currently I am learning about Toyota and why they are so much better than everyone at everything. But it occurred to me that there's a lot that can be taken to evaluate our season to date.

Section 1: Long-Term Philosophy - Can't argue with what we've tried to do. We have a plan and stuck with it and are currently #2 in the league behind a historic Bruins team.
Section 2: The Right Process Will Produce the Right Results - Again can't argue with what's been shown on the ice. Any other year we'd have been well in the hunt for the President's Trophy.
Section 3: Add Value to the Organization by Developing Your People and Partners - Looks at Necas, looks at KK, nods in approval.
Section 4: Continuously Solving Root Problems Drives Organizational Learning - Fork. Fork! Why can't I say fork. Fork me.

This is an unedited (I swear) story written by ChatGPT:

Carolina Hurricanes fan, Sarah, had been eagerly anticipating the game against the Florida Panthers for weeks. As she drifted off to sleep the night before the game, her mind was filled with thoughts of the team's potential for a thrilling victory, and the excitement of being in the stands alongside thousands of other fans.

In her dream, Sarah found herself in the arena, surrounded by the passionate Hurricanes fans. She could feel the energy in the air, and the thrill of being part of something bigger than herself. Suddenly, her eyes met with a handsome stranger sitting a few rows down, also wearing Hurricanes gear. They shared a smile, and Sarah felt her heart race with anticipation.

As she woke up, Sarah couldn't shake the feeling of connection she had felt with the mysterious stranger in her dream. She knew it was just a figment of her imagination, but she couldn't help but wonder if fate was trying to tell her something.

Fast forward to game time, and Sarah was in the stands, cheering alongside the other fans. As the game progressed, she couldn't help but keep an eye out for the handsome stranger from her dream. Just as she was beginning to lose hope, she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was him, wearing a sleek black turtleneck.

They struck up a conversation, bonding over their shared love of the Hurricanes and the excitement of the game. As the game went on, Sarah found herself more and more drawn to him. It was like they had known each other for years.

In the final moments of the game, with the score tied, Sarah and Don locked eyes. They both knew that this moment was more than just a game. As the Hurricanes scored the winning goal, they shared a moment of pure joy and elation.

As they left the arena together, Sarah couldn't help but feel like fate had brought them together for a reason. Who knows what the future holds, but for now, she was just happy to have found someone who shared her passion and excitement for the Hurricanes, and looked great in a turtleneck.
A raised glass to you sir, well done!

Given my last post has a Zoolander reference talking about AI, this is the perfect transition to this:

AI generated moving images and voices of Harry Potter characters in a fashion model style with an appropriate techno song for the video. The YouTube creator has already made a sequel after this first video went viral.

Write a fanfic in the style of the Sopranos, in which members of the Carolina Hurricanes argue over the relative merits of Bojangles and Cookout.

The members of the Carolina Hurricanes gathered around a table in a dimly lit Italian restaurant, plates of pasta and glasses of red wine in front of them. They had just finished a heated debate about the team's latest game when the conversation turned to a more pressing matter: the relative merits of Bojangles and Cookout.

"Bojangles is the only option," said Justin Williams, taking a bite of his spaghetti. "The biscuits alone are worth it."

"Are you kidding me?" Jordan Staal shot back. "Cookout has the best burgers in the state. And those milkshakes? Unbeatable."

"You're both wrong," said Rod Brind'Amour, leaning back in his chair. "Bojangles is great, but Cookout's tray-style meals are a game-changer. Plus, their hushpuppies are to die for."

Sebastian Aho chimed in, "I love the spicy chicken sandwich at Bojangles, but Cookout has so many different options for sides. And don't get me started on their Cheerwine float."

The debate continued for several minutes, with each player passionately defending their favorite fast-food chain. Even team owner Tom Dundon, who had been sitting quietly at the end of the table, joined in.

"I have to say, I'm a Cookout guy myself," he said, taking a sip of wine. "Their prices can't be beaten, and the food is always fresh."

As the night wore on and the wine flowed, the conversation turned to other topics. But the debate over Bojangles vs. Cookout remained unresolved, and each player left the restaurant still convinced that their favorite fast-food chain was the best. In the end, they all agreed that the only way to settle the argument would be to have a taste-test showdown at their next team meeting.

LOL.

There must have been enough comments on the web that Chat GPT saw to make Dundon say that.

My god, this thing really did its research!
Also, on that note, going back to Sarah's love interest being Don Waddell in his nice black turtleneck, Chat GPT probably read some comments on this board since, iirc, it's Stickpucker that has talked about DW being attractive in his turtlenecks, etc. Still kind of amazing it picked him as her love interest.

Sebastian and Teuvo chat on their way to a gig, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Must contain reference to the metric system.

I think we found Daniels replacement...even f***ing ChatGPT knows how to run a PP better than our coaching staff. We're literally doing the opposite of all of this

i'd really like a third division title in a row, please.

on the other hand, imagine if they canes win the cup going through the rags, the devils, and then the historically grea bruins on the way to the final. i'd bet real folding money they'd still be a solid choice in the annual "weakest cup winner" thread on the main board.
