I wouldn't say stolen. Canes played really well in 3 out of 4 periods. They just got whacked in the 3rd. Thankfully, Ned was on his game tonight.

No more Canes are the best in shape team in the league. We got owned but got completely away with it.

We have solidly half a dozen key players who are just not playing to their normal level individually. It’s kind of crazy to see. If you knew nothing about hockey and watched this team for the past 2 weeks, you’d think Vinnie Trocheck and Brett Pesce were our franchise players and guys like Aho, Hamilton, even Svech were just support cast.

I love analytics as much as anyone, but in the end, at least this game, it didn't matter. Even Tampa occasionally have their Corsi stinkers from time-to-time.

False. If you look at the score board you may think that, but if you watch the game and see the high danger chances Aho creates (Svech as well) you can see which the most skilled players on the team are.

Sometimes I miss this goofy bunch of dudes (Boychuk, Nash, Dalpe, Mike "Zombie" Murphy, Jordan, etc.), they weren't future NHL stars but they were a fun, lovable bunch that was easy to root for.
