We absolutely stole that game. Outright robbery.

We'll take it, and hopefully it deflates Tampa.

We need to get back our Game 2 mojo. We were at best hanging on today through most of the game. Thankfully Samsonov settled down, Vasi wasn't Vasi, and our shots counted when we got them.

Will definitely take the win, but our guys need to know 8 times out of 10, if we play like that we lose.

No letting up, and bring it even harder next game.

Brodie and Giordano were struggling tonight. I Hope they get better next game.

Gio has had a rough series so far. They really should have rested him more to end the season I think...


I'm a huge Brodie fan. He's usually quiet and steady....but tonight might have been the worst game he's played as a Leaf.

Now we need our "core" to step up!

JT had a bad game but he will bounce back.

I think the focus needs to be on Jarnkrok, Kerfoot, Acciari, and the 4th line. They have been generally fine, but I think they are due for some more key goals like Acciari's today.

Post-game interviews asking Mattews 'what is it about ROR that allows him to raise his game in the playoffs' seems like trolling lol

It's a fair comment. ROR really helped salvage what could have been a waste of time night and did the gamebreaking for our Big 4. A guy like Matthews is still going to be called on to be ROR in the third or OT so he can follow his lead when the time comes over the next few games. Matthews needs to elevate. He can't be left off the hook if he wants to hit those legacy building levels.

I don't like to rag on the core, I know they are under a lot of pressure but they are PPG because of that skewed game 2. They have to come up big when it counts.
