Currently worst odds to win cup of all remaining teams

Many said Caps wouldn’t be good this year. No expert even picked caps to win division. They go out and win the entire conference.

Many said Montreal would beat the Caps in the series - or make it a long series. Caps dominated 5v5 and won in 5.

Now they’re home ice underdogs VS Carolina.

Wouldn’t have it any other way. This team is big, strong, fast, and skillful… with one of the best of all-time a threat still every time he’s on ice.

I'm fine with the caps being the underdog the rest of the playoffs.

Tomorrow … I gotta drive up to Connecticut, with my ex, be there by 10:45 am, drive back to MD … might even make puck drop

And I spilled ghetto ass nasty Chinese in my cloth passenger seat a few days ago so the car just smells like a cats asshole
Comfort yourself with the knowledge that your ex will be sitting in it?

Fantastic. Your unprecedented off topic posts make me feel better about my life. But you're not alone. I recently had a garlic chicken to go for a guest, drowning in a greasy ass orange sauce. Quite the disaster. It was closer to soup to be honest. They even wrapped the container in saran wrap and it still caused a flood in my car and house.

It's game day folks. The anxiety will slowly build all day. Lets take over China town.

We have elite hitters in Ovi and Willy. We can talk up all the stat matchups you want but teams will be hard pressed to match us in the hitting dept, if we hit. If they try to match us, it can get them running around off their game.

Got em at +6000 back in November. GL to us!

They shouldn't have leaked rumors or given any hints about him potentially being fired.

If they were so clumsy that those rumors reached you and I (and they did), then they would have been blaring inside the organization and to Trotz himself. That is mismanagement and indecisiveness. Dangling people's careers on a thread like that is lame and unnecessary.

If management is discussing firing someone, then keep those discussion air tight until the final decisive action.
I think part of what made it impossible to keep under wraps is that Reirden was a sought after candidate for other gigs.

I’m guessing the Caps told him he would have the job after Trotz, so it’s not hard to put two and two together if Reirden wasn’t interviewing for other jobs. Especially since Trotz wasn’t extended, and it’s rare for HC’s to go into a lame duck year like that.

Either way they were between a rock and a hard place. If they extended Trotz then they go back on a handshake agreement with Reirden, which also hurts their ability to retain talented coaches in the future.

Someone here said they had a Commanders/Caps SB & SC parlay from last August.

$50 bet back then would pay out over $450,000 if they both hit.

Hopefully they sold high and took the buyout on that right before the NFC championship game…

I don’t disagree. All I’m saying is they had to pick a horse and they (in hindsight) picked the wrong one.

no argument there. It's an interesting 'what if,' do they get past Carolina in '19 with Trotz? Would he have been able to keep Kuzy on the rai-- on the straight and narrow?

Although sadly with Holtby's rapid decline and the lack of any viable GK's in the pipeline, I think the window pretty much closed after '19 regardless.

Nah... It wasn't Trotz. They could've made a run even with Rierden, if not for losing their 2D and 2RW and having their 1G fall apart.
