The USHL and NAHL get hurt by this. It could help college hockey and it will like create a lot of expansion.

There is no doubt the NHL has to step in and mediate this. For example how does this affect slide contracts in CHL. If they are drafted and signed can they play in college? Can college players be signed to NHL deals now. Do drafted (and signed) players have a say in their path or does the NHL club have to approve. There is a lot of shit here.

End two BC down 1-0. Worst I've seen BC play last year and this. Leonard still the best player on the ice almost got one. Flub and dumb ass passing on the BC side.

Chelsey has never been that offensively oriented since NTDP where he was forced to be in more of a defensive role to offset other offensive Dee (Lane Hudson). It’s not out of the question that he can develop that. If he does, he could be an NHL 2-way defenseman. He’s very good defensively, but today’s game has to go both ways.
Chesley is in a similar situation to Faber, in that he is expected to play more of a defensive role on the Gophers, and will get little to no PP TOI, which, of course, has a massive impact on point totals.
Rinzel, Mittlestadt, and Koster will be manning the PP points for MN, while Chesley will play a lot of hard defensive minutes. Not saying that Chesley will be the next Faber, but the latter was in almost the identical situation. It's kind of hilarious that Faber is now manning the #1PP on the Wild right now, and he couldn't sniff the PP with his college team.

I think Chesley has a game that will translate very well to the NHL. At the end of the day, there is only room for one or two balls out offensive Dmen on a NHL team, while every team needs a defensively sound RHD.

Good comparison and well said. The Caps prioritize two-way Dee. Roy, Chychrun, Carlson (yes, JC420) are all good two-way defensemen. Sandin has prioritized his Dee and is looking like a good two-way. Fever and TVR lack on the offensive side. Alexyev has none which is probably why he sits on outside. Chesley or Iorio will not replace Carlson but they can definitely replace TVR (who has been solid).
