Seeing the deals being made makes me a stronger believer in making our “TDL” addition Ryan Leonard, this might be one of the biggest seller markets I’ve seen so far. That’s an insane return to Seattle.

I’m not interested in this team flaming out in the first round.

I would pay two firsts for ROR. Add Eller, and Trotz could probably flip him for a 3rd.

I think something is brewing. I can guarantee there have been a lot of conversations. As always BMac and GMCP will be savvy. If something happens I think it will be tomorrow. but we’ll see.

I would absolutely add a top 6 if you can get the right deal. I wouldn’t go Tampa style because we don’t have to. but the good building is done in the offseason.

I think Frank getting demoted tonight should be an indicator they know they need at least one more forward. Raddysh did some decent things at times but...that's not going to cut it. Not alongside Mangiapane & Eller on a team that needs the additional production.

They owe it to 8/74 to add something of consequence to help shoulder the load further, particularly at a time when the division and conference so up for grabs. They may not be in a better position. At full tilt those two aren't what they used to be so it's got to be a team effort right down the line. As-is they don't have enough players that can bring Extra. They have a group that's solid and tight but they need guys with Extra. They have some, of course, more than last year but still a bit lacking. Their offensive defenders also aren't so dynamic as to count on them being able to help tip the scales too much in the playoffs IMO. It's just obvious they need to add a bit more punch up front to raise the standard more where it needs to be. They can't wait for Leonard in the hopes of quickly figuring it all out.

I don't know if Donato is a finishing piece per se but he's a decided upgrade over Raddysh/Frank at least. I mean, I don't doubt Milano and/or Miro would be upgrades at this point. You'd hope for a bit more than that, someone more along the lines of Tuch that could shift McMichael down to the third line I guess. Either way it shouldn't be that difficult to make an upgrade of some magnitude in the middle six and at a relatively manageable price if it's a winger. While it's going to be a seller's market I don't know how many zealous buyers there will be. The Caps shouldn't give up a first for Donato, of course, but a second for him or Zucker seems entirely doable (particularly Boston's second compared to most). Aiming any lower up front seems like a miscalculation and way closer to tinkering.

I want guys on the third line who can play up. We don’t have any of those. You will lose some guys in playoffs so you need to have depth.
The Donato idea might fit the mold. He’s having a career year (23 + 23) playing 2C on an awful Hawks team. He’d be a sturdier offensive option on the 3rd line than Mangi, Frank, etc… And is a better facilitator than Eller.

I imagine he’d be cheaper than Nelson (if Lou even decides to sell). And I just don’t see BUF or NSH moving Tuch or ROR, respectively.

Might not be the splash some want, but he could be good value (2nd+) in a seller’s market.
