“impact difference maker”…What does that even mean?

I think he’ll be good enough to play…temper expectations beyond that.
It means exactly what it says. I don’t believe he will make an impact or be a difference maker in the playoffs this year. It’s too much to ask and I don’t think the coaches will put that on him. Good enough to play… sure, I’ll bite on that. I just don’t think he will play unless there are injuries that force them to go to 14 or 15F.

That was one tough job he took on in 1975. RIP.
McVie either sought out underdogs or wasn't appealing enough to land a top coaching gig. He also coached the Devils shortly after they moved from Colorado, during the period when Gretzky referred to them as a "Mickey Mouse" organization.

I mean do we really care what athletes support politically? We all love and support OV and he supports Russia. I figured he was just supporting America. So i went to find the text and this was his response. maybe everyone can love TJ again.

Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Though sharing their opinion in this manner seems like deliberate baiting but oh well.

In the grand scheme, no. But I also would rather not have known this about him. Just a bummer.

Hypothetically,
would you guys, considering our roster and prospect situation, rather trade Mirosnichenko and Lapierre (in some form) for centerman Mason McTavish (ANA 2021 3rd OA) or Right shooting defenseman Simon Nemec (NJD 2022 2nd OA), assuming both table were on the table?

Don’t you insult Captain America like that.
Insult? You put the dude on your pfp

Out of the two? I'm taking Mctavish and trading Lapierre. Really not adding that much though. Maybe a couple mid round picks.

The replies to that tweet are so cringe/embarrassing. If that post changes how a person views someone that (I would assume) they had a very positive opinion on for nearly 10 years, who by all accounts was a great teammate/son/husband/father, then Oshie certainly isn’t the problem, those people are.

Interesting question. I think if I were to choose one deal to make I would rather have McTavish -- he's an actually proven NHL player, and I'd rather make the trade out of the division.

"Baiting" is a bit harsh IMO. Lots of people love Lebron speaking his mind on politics, but then get upset if they don't agree with somebody else's message/opinion. I for one, wish celebrities of all flavor would stay out of that arena, but it's their right to voice their opinion so I wouldn't ever stop it. I have no issue with this at all.

I feel like it's not even a question for this team. It'd be Lapierre and McTavish.

I'd personally like Nemec, but for this year at least McTavish is what they need 1000%.
