Its disgusting that the league threw this back on the Rangers laps and if something happens they'll wipe their hands clean of it because they will likely make a statement that any retribution won't be tolerated.. its a joke and the Rangers are right, Parros is unfit.

I know everyone said Lemieux sucked, useless or whatever but this why I was disappointed when he was traded. I know he apparently requested the trade so whatever. We could certainly use him right about now.

If we need a punching bag for Wilson, Lemieux would be a good choice.

Retaliation is ALWAYS treated 2x worse than the OG offense in and out of sports. It is what it is. If the Rangers do the exact same thing to Backstrom, thinking "well it will only be a 5k fine" the player and coach will be suspended.

The Rangers can't let that go unpunished as much as this team isn't equipped to deal with it they can't be the pushovers of the league, the league is now forcing their hand. A normal suspension would have thrown cold water on it, instead the league tosser gasoline on it.

Damn right they are, and the league has their finger on the trigger to suspend anyone and anything that retaliates against Wilson. This situation is now so f***ed, with f***ery amplified from this Statement.

I know you love to play contrarian but at least he would do something, win lose or draw. He held up fine against Wilson previously.

Toughness/hard to play against attributes are generally formed after development/maturation and are HEAVILY dependent on the player once they hit the pro level. You basically need RNG.

Lucic/Bergeron/Marchand were all skilled players primarily when drafted who were tuff/difficult to play against after the fact.

You NEVER draft for anything else other than skill, because everything else (read: intangibles) can be developed or blossom under physical maturity.

Usually when players are total d!cks, they suck at hockey. So retribution against the clown usually isn't equitable, especially when the clown goes after your star. But Wilson is actually pretty good, so going after him isn't useless. Though, in terms of apples to apples (I am not sure Ovi is going to play) you go after Backstrom in this case. Ragdoll that fcker around the ice.
What is really GOING to happen though is Smith trying to egg Wilson on all night and at one point taking a dumb penalty.
I hate this shit, the NHL needs to read the damned room and realize that fans don't want this anymore. The NHLPA needs to protect their victims and not the perps.
