Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

Protas squatting down to make Koken feel better is the MOST HILARIOUS SHIT.
We are going to end the year with three 30-plus goal scorers and if CMM gets hot, it very well could be four. When did we last have even three? Was it Ovi, Greenie, Semin?
Protas looks gassed in the interview, I like how they all say Ovy is more excited when they score than when he does.

I was out when they scored that second goal. Ovechkin killed a dude with his initial shot on the faceoff, ouch.
I was going to guess Kuznetov and Ovy, but Kuzy never broke 30 I guess.
Crazy to think this team is going to add Leonard, Cristall, Hutson, Miro, Little Pro, and Lapi - hopefully - over the next couple of years.

Talk about offense. When any team scores 4, they have a good chance of winning the game. Ducks never score that many in a game and still lost. Caps score 6 with the extra point empty netter! Beauvillier had nice breakaway goal on his backhander. You think he may make for a good shootout candidate?

PLD was a beast tonight. Can't believe we got him for basically nothing.
13 Players with a point tonight. 3 of our lines looked really good except for one. The Mangiapane, Eller, Raddysh line was ineffective offensively and gave up a few goals. We might still need to do some tinkering there.

Ovi and Strome looked great last night. I hope they can rekindle some of that fire from earlier in the season.

Size of PLD, Willy, Pro, and Ovi is really giving opposing teams a ton of trouble. On most clubs, that kind of size is in the bottom 6 with, at best, average skill, and their skill guys are smaller and slippery. We got some top 6 unicorns
I was just thinking about this. LT's last 5 starts are all below 90%. He sat at .878 sv% for February and is sitting at .883 sv% through four games in March.
His very first game post extension was against Calgary on January 28, and he saved 32/33 (.970). But his overall sv% since the extension (including that game) is .890.
He's still making key saves in key situation, but he's definitely letting a few more 'floaters' through than he was earlier in the year.

All those rookie deals will result in a lot of player value for not a lot of cap space.

The Caps were a little loose in their own end last night IMO. Not as loose as the Ducks though.

Thoughts live from Honda Center:
1) The whole team looked great going forward, but have to give Ovi, Strome, and PLD extra credit here. Ovi and Strome in particular have taken a lot of heat for a lack of 5v5 success recently and I thought they were creating chances for fun out there.
2) Congrats to Protas on the hat trick, another very well deserved milestone for him
3) We seem to have just completely forgotten how to change lines? Giving up at least 2 or 3 good chances a game the past couple of weeks because of poor changes
4) The Fehervary-Roy experiment needs to stop
5) Big credit to the Ducks fans, the ones I met were very nice and they were loud and into the game despite the large quantity of Caps fans there as well
